Sebastian Stan is set to take on his latest biopic role - this time playing Donald Trump - and everyone's making the same jokes about it already.
The 41-year-old actor is best known for playing Winter Soldier in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but also took on another celebrity role last year, playing Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee in the Pam & Tommy docuseries.
His upcoming role is worlds away from the wild musician, however, as he is set to play former President of the United States Donald Trump, albeit in his younger years.
Stan has been confirmed to play a young Trump in the upcoming film The Apprentice, which will also star Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 star Maria Bakalova as Trump's first wife, Ivana Trump.
According to reports from Deadline, the movie is set to be directed by Ali Abbasi and was written by Gabriel Sherman, and a statement adds: "The Apprentice is an exploration of power and ambition set in a world of corruption and deceit. It's a mentor-protege story that charts the origins of an American dynasty.
"Filled with larger than life characters, it reveals the moral and human cost of a culture defined by winners and losers."
Succession's Jeremy Strong has also been attached to the project and is set to play attorney Roy Cohn, according to Deadline.
The publication adds that the film will explore Trump's early life and his quest to build his real estate dynasty in New York in the 1970s and '80s.
Principal photography has begun this week, however, the release date for the project has yet to be announced.
While The Apprentice's release may be a little way off, it hasn't stopped fans flooding social media with their thoughts on the casting - and everyone's saying the same thing.
One fan joked: "just realized people are going to thirst about fictional donald trump now... sebastian stan you need to answer for your crimes."
Another added: "I hope you b***hes don't thirst over this d*nald dump film because sebastian stan is supposed to play him," while someone else wrote: "me the first time i see a sebastian stan as donald trump thirst edit on tiktok," adding a clip of a phone being thrown in the trash.
Someone else joked: "idk how i would feel saying i am attracted to 'donald trump' people won’t think i’m speaking about the sebastian stan one..."
One fan appealed: "sebastian stan please i cannot be attracted to donald trump im begging you," while another added: "oh god i didn’t even think about the fact of me having to be attracted to sebastian stan as donald trump oh god no stop this now shut it down."
Yep, that's gonna be a problem for us all.
