Calling all Shrek lovers! Airbnb is now offering an ultimate experience that will place fans in the swamp of the world's most beloved ogre.
The famous Shrek movie was released back in 2001 by Dreamworks Animation and became an instant cultural phenomenon in more ways than one.
The popularity of the film franchise has resulted in huge profits for the animation studio as 22 years later, you can showcase your love for the character by purchasing merch - including Shrek Crocs - attending theme park rides, and more.
Now, Airbnb is ready to capitalize on the mania by offering fans one thing they have been waiting for - a chance to spend a night at the classic character's stumpy, secluded haven home.
In pictures shared on the rental company's website, you can see the iconic character's charming and cozy refuge lodged in the hills of the Scottish Highlands, which is ultimately perfect.
It is in the ideal secluded spot which would give renters the immaculate view for a starry night. It also features a live-in tree stump that has two beds and one bathroom, however, the toilet, sink, and shower facilities will be located off-site, approximately 20 meters away from the Swamp.
But in true ogre fashion, the humble abode has a leaf-colored green chair that Shrek sits on against the wall and the center table which includes his eyeball martini, slug appetizer, and the earwax candle.
On top of being able to stay in the residence, the "Beware, Ogre," "Stay Out," and "Danger" signs are all out front to alert those unwanted folk to stay away.
This is the most remarkable once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for fans who want to live like an ogre. And what is even better is that you can request this home for absolutely free - an unsurprising gesture from the man who provided refuge to fairytale creatures of all kinds!
However, guests must have an active Airbnb profile with a good track record on the platform, possess a government-issued ID, and be at least five years of age, in addition to several other terms and conditions.
Furthermore, you are also expected to make your own travel to and from Scotland.
The proceeds from this memorable event will be donated to HopScotch Children’s Charity, which gives back to underprivileged children in Scotland.
The Swamp doors will be open for an exclusive two-night swamp stay for up to three friends from October 27-29.
Bookings will open on October 13. Get ready!
