Israeli singer Noa Kirel caused a bit of a stir after appearing at the MTV Europe Music Awards sporting an outfit emblazoned with the face of rapper Kanye West.

The 21-year-old - who was named as a contestant in the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest that will be held in Liverpool, England - was walking the red carpet at the awards ceremony in Düsseldorf, Germany.

She ended up winning the MTV EMA award for best Israeli act for the fifth year in a row, after first receiving the coveted prize in 2017, per NME.

This year, however, the talented songstress chose to make an impactful statement with her red carpet look - settling on a black button-up collared waistcoat, shoulder-length gloves, and high-waisted wide-leg trousers covered with Ye's face. She then completed the look with dozens of gold chains and Star of David pendants, paying homage to her Jewish roots.

Taking to Instagram soon after to post her look, Kirel captioned her image: "Oh Ye..."

Thousands of people flooded the comments section with positive messages for the singer, who finally completed her mandatory two-year Israeli Defense Force service in February this year.

"Genius who thought of this," someone wrote.

"Queen you are simply pride," another added.

"Queen of the world," a third user commented.

Kirel has since revealed that her outfit choice was "a fashion item with a message for the whole world; an item that signals that I am both Jewish and Israeli," according to The Israel Times.

"We have been experiencing a lot of antisemitism, especially in light of Kanye West's statements. I am proud to be an Israeli artist who represents Israel in the world," the songstress added.

The move to make a statement involving Ye comes after the 45-year-old rapper made various statements in recent months, most notably his bizarre tweet in which he claims he would go "death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE."

The father-of-four then went on to claim that fellow rapper, P. Diddy, was controlled by Jewish people - a claim that then caused Ye's account to be blocked from Instagram.

Subsequently, German sportswear brand Adidas terminated their partnership with the 'I Am A God' rapper, writing in a statement: "Adidas does not tolerate antisemitism and any other sort of hate speech. Ye's recent comments and actions have been unacceptable, hateful, and dangerous, and they violate the company's values of diversity and inclusion, mutual respect and fairness."

It continued: "After a thorough review, the company has taken the decision to terminate the partnership with Ye immediately, end production of Yeezy-branded products, and stop all payments to Ye and his companies. Adidas will stop the Adidas Yeezy business with immediate effect."

Among the multiple other brands severing ties with Ye are Gap, Balenciaga, and JP Morgan Chase, per a previous report.
