It has been reported that Tori Kelly has been hospitalized after collapsing while she was out to dinner.
According to a report by TMZ, the 30-year-old singer was spending some quality time with her friends in Los Angeles on Sunday night when she fainted while the group was at dinner.
Sources told the outlet that the Grammy-winning artist was "out for a while" before she was rushed to get help at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where professionals discovered blood clots around some of her vital organs.
Now in the ICU, Kelly is receiving further treatment with the source also claiming that the singer's condition is "really serious" as she has reportedly been "in and out of consciousness."
Upon hearing the unfortunate news, fans have taken to Twitter to pray for the 'It Should Have Been Us' hitmaker.
"I’ve never prayed for a celebrity the way I’m praying for Tori Kelly right now. She’s someone who’s dedicated her music career to spreading God’s love and His goodness. I pray God doesn’t take her from us," wrote one user, while another also added: "Yall don't know how stressed this Tori Kelly situation has me. I need for her to be okay."
A third also reposted a clip of Kelly singing one of her hits, 'Beautiful Things', alongside a message that read: "I grew up listening to Tori Kelly just completely in awe with her beautiful lyricism and her astounding tone. Here’s my favorite from her as she makes a speedy recovery. Praying and sending love."
"Waking up to the worst news. Please pray for Tori. Get well soon @torikelly," another wrote.
There have currently been no further updates on the singer's condition since she collapsed on Sunday evening, however, fans hit back at anti-vaxxers who used the news to speculate on the causes of her illness.
Since the pandemic began, hundreds of millions of people across the world have safely received a Covid vaccine, with incidences of blood clots being very rare, accounting for just four people per million that received a vaccine, per the CDC.
"Please stop I’m tired of y’all it’s 2023 now Tori Kelly over here fighting for her life in the hospital and you people wanna use this moment to spread your agenda get a life," said one Twitter user.
"The antivaxxers using tori kelly’s situation of being in the ICU for blood clots to promote their platform are going straight to f****** hell," added another.
"You gotta be realllllll sick in the f***** head to use tori kelly being in the ICU for blood clots to push yalls nonsensical anti-vax propaganda," this user wrote.
Born in Wildomar, California, Kelly spent her entire life trying to make it big in the music industry. Starting on YouTube, the 'Paper Hearts' hitmaker came from humble beginnings, posting covers of some of her favorite songs and even collaborating with other prominent figures on the platform at the time.
After a failed American Idol trial, Kelly refocussed her attention on original content, and in 2015 she released her debut album Unbreakable Smile which saw the lead single 'Nobody Love' break through on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart, marking her first appearance on the list.
Since then, the star has gone on to achieve many great things including five Grammy nominations, two of which she went on to win, as well as multiple top 10 hits.
