Sister Wives star Janelle Brown has released a statement after fans got together to honor her late son, Garrison.

Earlier this month, it was reported that one of Janelle Brown's four sons, Robert Garrison Brown, had died by suicide in his home in Flagstaff, Arizona.

Authorities were called to the residence by his younger brother, Gabriel, after the 22-year-old discovered his brother's body with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Taking to Instagram on the same day, Garrison's mother Janelle, and his father Kody, posted a joint statement addressing the death of their son alongside two photos of him.

"Kody and I are deeply saddened to announce the loss of our beautiful boy Robert Garrison Brown," the 54-year-old wrote in a joint statement with her former husband. "He was a bright spot in the lives of all who knew him. His loss will leave such a big hole in our lives that it takes our breath away.

"We ask that you please respect our privacy and join us in honoring his memory," the statement added.

In the wake of the tragedy, fans rallied around to support the family, a token of love that has brought Janelle to tears.

"I have been brought to tears again," she wrote in a post on Instagram. "I'm being told about everyone’s donations to @highcountryhumane @arkcatsanctuary in Garrison’s name. Thank you all for your generosity. It means so much. The cats he adopted from both agencies were so important to him. He loved being a cat dad."

Comments poured in under the post praising both Janelle and her son for their big hearts.

"You made some remarkable humans, Janelle," wrote one user. "Independent thinkers with big hearts, you should be incredibly proud."

"You raise good humans, Janelle. All your children seem like kind, loving people. I wish you so much peace, mom to mom," added another.

A third also stated: "Janelle, I hope you see how much your family has impacted so many people. There’s a lot of drama and BS that comes with being in the public eye, but look how many lives your boy touched, and continues to touch. He has made a lasting impact for sure. So happy the siblings have the cats. A way to honor and carry on his legacy for sure."

Garrison was a loyal cat dad, posting pictures of his rescues on his personal social media platform.

"Newest edition to my home, Ms Buttons. She’s 9 years old and was on the line for euthanasia but my savior complex couldn’t suffice. #crazycatlady," he wrote in the caption of his last post.

Garrison was laid to rest in a private ceremony over the weekend, according to an Instagram post published by his cousin, Emma Brown.

Our thoughts are with the Brown family during this difficult time.
