Sophia Grace Brownlee has clapped back at critics saying she isn't old enough to have a baby.
Many people know Sophia Grace from her days on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, where she and her cousin Rosie McClelland shot to fame as a singing and dancing double act when they were young children.
However, the child star is now all grown up and expecting a baby of her own. The 19-year-old announced that she was pregnant in a YouTube video over the weekend, telling her subscribers the happy news.
Unfortunately, some people haven't been very receptive to Sophia Grace's pregnancy announcement.
Now, in an interview with E! News, the British star has hit back at people who said she was too young to become a mom.
"I feel like 19 is quite young, obviously, to have a baby," she told the outlet.
"Usually most people are like, 'You should have babies when you're 30 and you're married and you live in your own house,' which is completely fine. But obviously everyone's gonna have their different opinions," she continued, adding: "As long as you feel ready and it's something that you're happy about, then it's really no one else's problem."
Sophia Grace went on to say that - while she had received hate - she had also been overwhelmed by the support of many of her followers.
"I've seen so many supportive comments about how ‘You're young, but I had a baby at this age' and it was so lovely," she said, adding: "It really makes me feel happy when I see other girls comment that. It really, really makes me so more confident."
Sophia Grace first shared her pregnancy news on Saturday (October 22). "I am here to tell you guys that I am pregnant," she announced in a video which showed her sitting amongst pink and blue balloons.
Watch the happy announcement here:"I was very shocked when I first found out, [and] I've got used to it now and I'm super, super happy about it," she continued, adding: "I can't wait to share this journey with you [on my channel]."
As for who the father of her baby is, Sophia Grace is keeping that information under wraps for now. However, she told E! News that she'd be open to sharing him with her fans in the future "when he's confident enough".
