Cameras captured the moment Dustin Poirier's wife flipped off Conor McGregor after he made several below-the-belt comments towards her following his loss.
Earlier in the night, 'The Notorious' one had stepped into the Octagon with long-time rival Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in Las Vegas. The two 32-year-old MMA stars collided in their trilogy match, but the bout was stopped after the first round after McGregor suffered a nasty-looking leg injury.
The Irish fighter did look to be on top form as he aggressively hammered Poirier with kicks at the start of the bout. However, after McGregor's leg gave out from underneath him, his American opponent quickly took advantage and got on top of McGregor.
Poirier was awarded the win by the referee after doctors deemed McGregor unable to continue.
Despite being unable to stand following the fight, that didn't stop McGregor from running his mouth on Poirier and his wife, Jolie.
Speaking to Joe Rogan in the post-match interview, the injured McGregor said: "Your wife is in my DMs, hey baby. Hit me back up, I’ll chat to you later on. I’ll be at the after-party at the Wynn nightclub. You look in bits you little h**!"
In response, cameras picked up the moment Jolie gave McGregor the middle finger as he lay prone on the mat.
This wasn't the first time McGregor had taken aim at Jolie, either. During a press conference prior to the event, the former dual-division champion had attempted to mock both Dustin and Jolie, saying: "Your wife is your husband, you're only a little b***h of a thing, a silly little hillbilly," McGregor said.
The Irishman then started chanting: "Jolie's wife, Jolie's wife, Jolie's wife."
Additionally, the day before their big rubber match, McGregor shared a screen-capture video appearing to show Jolie attempting to message him on Instagram. The video can be seen below:
Per The Independent, McGregor's loss meant he was unable to get revenge for his loss to Poirier back in January - but also means that McGregor has just one win in the last four and a half years.
However, in his post-match interview, McGregor believed he had the upper hand prior to the fight being stopped. "I was boxing the ears off him, kicking the legs off him, usual s**** he dived to close the distance," he said.
McGregor then declared: "This is not over! If I have to take this outside with him it’s on outside I don’t give a b*******."
However, speaking to Rogan himself following his victory, Poirier would respond by calling McGregor a "dirtbag".
"I can take the trash talk," Poirier told Rogan. "There’s no holds barred with the trash talk, but murder is something you don’t clown around with, you don’t talk to people like that."
The full extent of McGregor's leg injury has not yet been declared, but many publications and sports commentators believe he suffered a break.
