An unlikely rom-com appears to have unfolded at the Olympics as a tennis duo broke up just days before winning gold together.
Sometimes it's best to keep work and relationships separate to avoid some awkward moments later on... like working with your ex.
But what if you don't really have the choice to move desks to get away from your former flame, because you're with them at the Olympics?
This is exactly the situation that Czech tennis players Kateřina Siniaková and Tomáš Macháč found themselves in.

The tennis stars triumphed over China's Wang Xinyu and Zhang Zhizhen in the mixed doubles final on Friday, August 2.
This victory comes shortly after Siniaková announced at the Prague Open that she and Macháč had ended their four-year relationship.
“Yes, it's true, but this is my private matter. Of course, we will play, we are professionals after all,” Siniaková told Blesk.cz.
Despite their breakup, the pair shared a hug and a kiss during the medal ceremony, sparking speculation about their relationship status.
When questioned by a reporter at the post-victory news conference about whether they were back together, Siniaková kept the audience guessing.
“That’s our personal life, so you don’t need to know that,” she said, according to the Associated Press. “We like when you are confused.”

Macháč added to the mystery, saying: “This is top secret.”
Fans have eagerly speculated about a potential reconciliation, with some calling for a movie to be made about their story.
"Nothing fixes a relationship better than winning a gold medal together in the city of love," one person wrote.
Another fan said: "Netflix or Hallmark needs to make a movie about their story!"
And a third added: "It's so poetic if they really had broken up and these last days of winning and getting the gold eventually brought them back together."
A fourth person said: "Someone needs to write this sports rom-com ASAP — two professional tennis players who break up after multiple years of dating, only to reunite weeks later to win gold at the Olympics. It’s cinematic gold."

Following their win, Siniaková took to social media platform X to thank fans for their support.
“That was unreal. Thanks everyone for supporting us so happy with the result we have achieved,” she wrote.
Macháč, meanwhile, expressed his gratitude to fellow athlete Lukáš Krpálek on Instagram.
“Role model, Champion, Fighter, Heartbeat, Representative and Olympic Gold winner, an honor, to share this moment and in something to try to at least imitate you and come closer to you thank you for the photo and we keep fighting,” he posted.
