A WNBA star recently sent social media into a frenzy after she appeared to be topless at a presser, and she's since responded.
Elizabeth Kitley’s highly anticipated introduction to the Las Vegas Aces took an unexpected turn when a viral image from the event had fans doing a double take.

The 6-foot-6 center, who was drafted by the team last year but sidelined due to an ACL injury, finally got her official welcome - and it came with a bit of unintentional internet chaos.
At the press conference, Kitley posed for photos while holding up her No. 33 jersey, but one particular shot made it seem as though she wasn’t wearing anything at all.
In reality, she had on a strapless top, though the angle of the photo made it look more risqué than the WNBA likely intended.

The moment quickly made waves online, with social media users buzzing about the optical illusion.
Rather than let the speculation run wild, Kitley chimed in on Instagram with a humorous take on the situation.
"Excellent execution by me," she wrote, embracing the viral moment.
Under the Aces Instagram post of the moment, she also wrote: "Strapless was a choice."
Kitley’s introduction in Las Vegas wasn’t just about her, though.
She shared the spotlight with Jewell Loyd, the Team USA standout who landed with the Aces as part of a blockbuster three-team trade that sent Kelsey Plum to the Los Angeles Sparks and multiple draft picks to the Seattle Storm.
As she prepares to finally take the court for the reigning WNBA champions, Kitley is expected to play a key role in the post, learning from A’ja Wilson, widely regarded as the league’s best player.
Before making the jump to the pros, Kitley was a dominant force at Virginia Tech, earning three-time All-American honors.

She also received the rare distinction of having her No. 33 jersey retired by the Hokies earlier in 2025.
Now, with a fresh start in the WNBA and an unexpected viral moment already under her belt, Kitley is set to make her long-awaited debut for the Aces in just a few months.
