A London-based tattoo removal studio is offering to remove tattoos featuring Kanye West free of charge.

NAAMA Studios in central London announced on Instagram that the treatment, which usually costs around £2,000 ($2,300 US), is now available entirely for free at its establishment - the catch is that the ink must feature the controversial rapper.

This comes in the wake of West, 45, making a number of offensive comments over the last few months, which have seen him lose lucrative brand deals.

The music star was removed from Twitter in October after posting an anti-Semitic tweet, which led to major brands such as Adidas and Balenciaga cutting ties with him.

Adidas said via a statement on its website that Kanye's comments were "unacceptable, hateful, and dangerous".

It added: "Adidas does not tolerate antisemitism and any other sort of hate speech. Ye's recent comments and actions have been unacceptable, hateful, and dangerous, and they violate the company's values of diversity and inclusion, mutual respect and fairness."

Losing these deals directly led to the rapper's exit from the Forbes billionaire list, with the man himself claiming he lost $2 billion in one day, via his Instagram account.

With the controversy that follows him, once-devoted fans of Kanye who got a permanent tattoo of their idol can head to London to get it removed completely for free.

NAAMA Studios announced on Instagram: "We'll remove your Kanye tattoos for free."

It added the caption: "Yeezy come, yeezy go⚡️Got a #kanyewest tattoo? Tag us⬇️"

The promotion was met with mixed reactions from viewers. One commenter said: "Give your marketer a raise. This is hilarious," and another added: "This is golden 😂😂".

However, some fans of Ye didn't take too kindly to the post. One fan said: "Embarrassing, definitely taking my business elsewhere," and a second followed up with: "What an absolute embarrassment you and your marketing team should be ashamed".

A fifth user explained that: "This ad makes me want to get a Kanye tat," which is probably the opposite of what the tattoo removal company intended.

Kanye has since seen his Twitter account reactivated after Elon Musk publicly took over the company - but is yet to tweet anything since the controversy.
