Taylor Swift's earnings from her Eras Tour have been revealed and it's already proving very lucrative for the singer.
Fans who clamored to get tickets for Taylor's Eras Tour will attest to how popular it is by just how difficult it was to get hold of them, and with 22 dates under her belt already, the 'Cruel Summer' star has already started making some serious cash.
According to reports from Pollstar, the tour is estimated to rake in an astounding $1.4 billion by the time it ends in August 2024, pushing the singer into a new realm of financial success, her 'billionaire' era.
The first 22 shows alone have already amassed over $300 million, securing the title of the highest-grossing tour in North America and globally from November 17, 2022, to May 17, 2023, as reported by Pollstar, with Taylor herself taking home over a third of the income.
Following deductions for concert promoter Messina Touring Group and production costs, Forbes projects Taylor's gross earnings from these performances to be around $110 million.
However, this is not the amount that will eventually land in her bank account. After accounting for taxes and expenses, such as those for her manager, publicist, and agent, Taylor is estimated to take home approximately $30 million from The Eras Tour to date. This substantial addition has boosted her net worth to a staggering $780 million, inclusive of real estate and other assets.
As of now, The Eras Tour has eclipsed the earnings of the second top-grossing global tour, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band's $142 million, 36-date run, and is twice as big already. It's even outpaced the revenue from Harry Styles' Love On Tour, which grossed $124 million from 34 performances, landing third in the highest-grossing tours worldwide.
And Taylor's Eras Tour - which crashed Ticketmaster when it first went on sale - shows no signs of losing momentum. With an impressive average gross of $13.6 million per show, the North American leg of the tour could eventually yield over $700 million. Including the 50+ international performances, this figure could rise significantly.
Industry insiders at Pollstar are projecting that Eras could potentially reach an unprecedented $1.4 billion by the time it concludes in August 2024 - which means Taylor will also be making some serious bank for just over a year on the road.
With the forthcoming release of Speak Now (Taylor’s Version), a re-recording of her 2010 album set to drop next week, Taylor's net worth could be pushed to an approximate $900 million by next year.
As it turns out, it seems this summer will be anything but "cruel" for Taylor Swift.
