Ezra Miller was charged with felony burglary this week after surveillance footage gave police probable cause to apprehend the star, a police press release has shown.

The 29-year-old, who uses they/them pronouns and identifies as non-binary, allegedly broke into a home in Stamford, Vermont, stealing several bottles of alcohol.

After reviewing surveillance footage and taking statements from those concerned, Vermont State Police reported that they had collected enough evidence to charge Miller with felony burglary into an unoccupied dwelling.

Despite the offense occurring in May, local police were unable to locate Miller until Sunday (August 7). It was then that they issued the troubled actor with a citation to appear in court on September 26.

The burglary has been one of many legal troubles for the star, which include disturbing allegations that range from child kidnapping to physical assault.

Most recently, the Justice League actor has been enmeshed in a Child Protective Services matter, which was reported by Rolling Stone in June.

In the report, the magazine stated that police had attended Miller's Vermont farm several times in an attempt to locate a 25-year-old mom of three, who was claimed to be living there.

The police had reason to believe that the three young children were unsafe at the home and wanted to serve the mother with an emergency order to remove the children from her care. People reported that the order explicitly stated: "Remaining in the home is contrary to the child's welfare."

It was during one of these visits that police located Miller and charged them with felony burglary.

Rolling Stone also reported other allegations against the star, which included claims that they harassed a woman in Germany, choked a woman in Iceland, and had groomed an 18-year-old Standing Rock activist named Tokata.

Her parents went public with their allegations that Miller was "brainwashing" and "grooming" their daughter - claims which Tokata has since denied, per the report.

Given all of the negative publicity surrounding Miller's alarming behavior, people are wondering whether Warner Bros will recast their lead role in the upcoming film, The Flash.

This seems unlikely as, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Miller had been filming scenes for The Flash even after several arrests. In fact, Warner Bros have reportedly still supported Miller despite knowing about their grooming allegations and have refrained from commenting on the situation.

This has not sat well with fans who seem unable to comprehend why Warner Bros is still moving forward with The Flash, despite deciding to shelve the upcoming POC-led Batgirl flick (as previously reported by VT).

On Twitter, one frustrated user tweeted: "My completely uninformed take: the dude whose terrible instincts about optics helped him shelve a 90 million dollar POC-led Batgirl movie doesn’t give a [s***] about Ezra Miller’s crime spree, and will release this movie like nothing happened."

In spite of all the troubling publicity surrounding their lead actor, Warner Bros are set to go ahead with plans to release The Flash in June 2023.
