Halle Bailey has left fans stunned after posting a 'jaw-dropping', slightly explicit TikTok.
Posting to TikTok on May 22, the 23-year-old actress showed off a stunning, baby blue gown with diamante detailing along the waist as well as the unique sweetheart neckline, but to one of the most explicit sounds on the social media platform.
Bailey, best known for her portrayal as Ariel in Disney's live-action remake of The Little Mermaid, can be seen walking towards the camera in the gorgeous dress, but rather than the attention being wholly on the 'fit, fans couldn't help but pick out the use of the song in the background.
Have a look at the video below:
"This song choice took me out! Love you Halle," wrote one user while another added: "Halle is such a mood. the perfect blend of class and outta line."
"The song," pointed out another alongside multiple laughing emojis.
"The sweet face with the most insane audio," commented this TikToker.
"Oooh little mermaid acting up," joked another.
"JAW DROPPED!!!!" added another.
And the comments did not stop there.
Thousands of other users also left their opinions on the video commending the star on her bold choice of audio.
Rather than choosing a family-friendly song, which is going to be more on brand for Bailey given the fact that she is a Disney princess now, the singer opted for a track called 'Pound Town', by Sexyy Red and Tay Keith.
Some of the very explicit lyrics - clearly audible in the TikTok video - include: "I’m out of town, thuggin' with my rounds / My c*****e pink, my b***y h*** brown."
I'm not about to explain this one folks, look it up.
The news came just a day before Bailey's portrayal in The Little Mermaid was released in major theatres across the United States as well as the United Kingdom.
Speaking to Glamour UK about what it means to take on such an iconic role, the 23-year-old said that she was excited to see herself on the big screen after initially having some doubts.
After a trip to New York to meet Rob Marshall and producer John DeLuca, Bailey said: "I didn’t hear anything for a while—a few months actually."
"I was like, 'Okay, well, I guess I didn’t get it,'" she continued. "I forgot about it completely until she finally got the call. I freaked out, I was screaming... I was like, is this real life?"
"I was catapulted into this new world," Bailey added.
Even when she had doubts about whether or not she could do this, she said that remembering the importance Ariel played in her life helped her get through it - as well as her sister, Chloë, of course.
"I remember Ariel being the reason I wanted to swim," she said: "When I saw her [I was] like, 'She’s so beautiful; I want to be a mermaid too.' She didn’t look like me, but I was okay with that because it was what I was used to at the time."
When speaking of the impact of seeing a Black woman play the popular character, she said: "When I saw those for the first time, I just cried... I was sobbing uncontrollably. The fact that these babies are looking at me and feeling the emotions that they’re feeling is a really humbling, beautiful thing."
We really do love to see it.
