The View hosts and studio audience have serenaded Tucker Carlson's sudden departure from Fox News with a brutal song.

As previously reported, the network made a bombshell announcement on Monday (April 24) that it had "agreed to part ways" with its most-watched primetime host with immediate effect.

In a short statement obtained by Business Insider, they wrote: "We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor."

"Mr. Carlson’s last program was Friday, April 21st. Fox News Tonight will air live at 8 pm starting this evening as an interim show helmed by rotating Fox News personalities until a new host is named," they added, according to The Independent.

The co-hosts of the ABC series weighed in on the 53-year-old's exit from the network during Monday's episode. Whoopi Goldberg was the first one to announce the news, saying: "Word has just come down that Fox News Media and Tucker Carlson have agreed to part ways."

The studio audience immediately broke out into applause and loud cheers as she continued to read the statement. The 67-year-old Sister Act actress then asked her co-hosts to do The Wave - a cheer that is often done by baseball fans when their team is winning.

Goldberg then promised viewers: "We'll talk more about it tomorrow but we wanted to make sure we let you know what was going on."

However, Ana Navarro, 51, was ready to commemorate the announcement immediately and said: "Well, can I ask the audience if they will help me do something? Come on, folks," before leading them in a rendition of Steam's 'Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye'. She then gave a little wave goodbye and said "sayonara" to the former FOX host.

Meanwhile, Sunny Hostin, 54, appeared to backpedal by first stating: "I don't think anyone likes to celebrate the demise of someone's career," but then added: "He is responsible for the derogation that we see somewhat of our democracy in this country. And I just think as a faithful person, look at God."

Former Trump staffer Alyssa Farah Griffin also gave her two cents on the television personality's departure and said: "Well, Russian propaganda [was] hardest hit, he's been the biggest purveyor of pro-Russian talking points. So, it's a good day for the Ukrainian people."

Hostin then added that "karma doesn't lose anyone's address," before Goldberg concluded the segment with: "It may misplace that address but it does not lose it."

Although the network’s statement suggested Tucker's departure was mutual, the host's final words on Friday’s broadcast of Tucker Carlson Tonight suggests that he didn't see his departure coming.

During the segment on his show, Carlson ate pizza with Tyler Morrell - a pizza delivery driver from Pennsylvania who assisted in the arrest of a suspect evading law enforcement.

The host's final sign-off was upbeat and positive as he told viewers: "What a great way to the end the week," adding: "That’s it for us for the week, we’ll be back."

"We’ll be back on Monday - in the meantime have the best weekend with the ones you love. See you then," he unknowingly concluded.

Well, now it's clear that isn't happening.
