Tiger King star Jeff Johnson has died at the age of 58, TMZ reports.
The reptile dealer, who featured in the hit Netflix documentary series, took his own life in front of a family member, according to police.
Johnson had appeared in the fourth episode of the first season to talk about Carole Baskin, the Big Cat Rescue owner and rival of Joe Exotic. He famously explained the unsolved beef the pair have between them.
According to the incident report that was obtained by TMZ, the reptile dealer was in the midst of a heated argument with his partner in their garage.
At some point in the argument, he took his own life, and his wife called 911 for attempted suicide but he was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.
Jeff was interviewed in the first season of Tiger King and had been friends with Joe Exotic until the two had a falling out. He started an online campaign claiming Joe and Jeff Lowe were frauds. The two then responded online.
Johnson is the second Tiger King star to pass away since the show hit the streaming platform.
Back in September, zookeeper Erik Cowie was found dead aged 53.
New York City’s Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has disclosed that Cowie died of "acute and chronic alcohol use," People reports.
According to NBC News 4 New York, Cowie was found dead in his Brooklyn apartment bedroom at 5:30 PM local time and was unconscious when first responders arrived on the scene.
He was one of the zookeepers who looked after the exotic animals at the now-defunct Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park in Oklahoma that was featured in the hit series.

The park was formerly owned by Joe Exotic, who is currently serving a 22-year sentence for plotting to kill Carole Baskin, and for wildlife violations.
Tiger King 2 hit streaming services last week, and continues to follow Exotic, who has been transferred to a medical facility for federal inmates after a cancer diagnosis, according to his lawyer.
Exotic was sentenced in January 2020 to 22 years in federal prison after being convicted of trying to hire two different men to kill Florida animal rights activist Carole Baskin.
Meanwhile, Baskin, of Tampa's Big Cat Rescue sanctuary, lost an effort to stop Netflix and a production company from using previously recorded video of her and her husband in the Tiger King sequel.
