A coroner has confirmed the cause of death of TikTok star Cooper Noriega, according to reports from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner obtained by E! News.

The 19-year-old passed away on June 9, after being found unconscious in a mall parking lot just outside Los Angeles. Medics arrived on the scene however they were unable to revive Noriega.

Noriega's final Instagram post just days before his death was an image of himself sitting on a kitchen countertop.

In the caption, he promoted his mental health discord chat, writing: "Hey guys I just created a Discord for mental health strictly and if you would like to join it you can; just click the link in my bio.:)"

Per the outlet, he had died after consuming a cocktail of medication, including fentanyl, lorazepam, and alprazolam. Lorazepam is often used to treat seizures and anxiety, and alprazolam - also known as Xanax - is often prescribed for the same reasons. Both medications can result in feelings of drowsiness and dizziness.

Another significant condition that contributed to his death was listed in his case file as "recent" usage of clonazepam, another highly potent sedative also predominantly used to treat anxiety and seizures.

Since his death family, friends, and fans of the star have paid tribute to him in the comments section of his social media accounts. "My heart hurts. it doesn’t feel real. please tell me it’s not real. you always had the most positive energy no matter where we were. rest easy coop [sic]," fellow TikToker Blake Gray wrote.

Sabrina 'Sab' Quesada, Noriega's ex-girlfriend - who broke up with Noriega two months before his death - wrote a heartfelt tribute to her late ex-boyfriend on her own Instagram, describing him as: "the light of my life, you're the best thing that ever happened to me. i'm so sorry my love. may we meet again [sic]."

Following the death of their son, Noriega's family started a foundation called Coop's Advice, which aims to help society rethink the ways they address mental health in Gen-Z. In a statement via the Foundation's Instagram, the family wrote: "Cooper's life and work shined a light on the urgent need to destigmatize addiction and support comprehensive mental health.

"The foundation will continue to pursue Cooper's unique vision through a combination of social and physical mental health experiences, organized community events, and innovative approaches toward using social influence to empower a mental health movement," the statement read.

Our thoughts and deepest sympathies go out to Cooper Noriega's family, friends, and fans.
