Everyone has their own quirks when they are doing their job. Personally, I need some form of caffeine to get through the day, and if it's the summer, I prefer to be enjoying my coffee in the comfort of an air-conditioned room.
But one person who has a slightly more unusual workplace quirk than others is Tom Cruise, who refuses to let anyone "run" on-screen with him.
The Mission Impossible star is famed for doing his own stunts, and per NME, he is particularly known for being a very fast runner, and he doesn't want anyone running alongside him on screen who can't keep up.
He did, however, make one exception.
Watch Tom Cruise do his stuff in this Jack Reacher street fight:In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Annabelle Wallis said she was told by Cruise that they wouldn't be running together on the set of The Mummy (2017), but she managed to convince him to break his own rule.
"He's on a different level, and, you know, I ticked a box. I got to run on-screen with him, but he told me no at first," the former Peaky Blinders star said.
She continued: "He said: 'Nobody runs on-screen [with me],' and I said: ‘But I'm a really good runner.' So I would time my treadmill so that he'd walk in and see me run. And then he added all these running scenes. So, that was it. It was, like, better than an Oscar. I was so happy!"

This comes after filming for the seventh installment in the Mission Impossible series resumed filming this month after restrictions implemented because of the ongoing pandemic were eased, NME reports.
However, on Tuesday, August 11, a stuntman's bike caught fire, with The Sun reporting that the set was damaged after the distance between the bike and the ramp was miscalculated. The stuntman was unharmed.
