A female Twitch streamer was reportedly hit with a seven-day ban after allegedly having sex with a man during a livestream.
On August 24, viewers noticed that Kimmikka, a user on the platform, was posing at an unusual angle while making odd facial expressions. At one point, she turns around and starts chatting to an unidentified male behind her, who is only partially in view.
Kimmikka is seen moving erratically as the male carries on behind her. Viewers were naturally suspicious that something x-rated was going on and this was seemingly confirmed by the streamer's reflection in the window.
Footage of the apparently explicit act went viral on the Livestreamfails subreddit and she was supposedly banned soon after.
Twitch's guidelines on Nudity, Pornography, and Other Sexual Content read: "Nudity and sexually explicit content or activities, such as pornography, sexual acts or intercourse, and sexual services, are prohibited.
"Content or activities that threaten or promote sexual violence or exploitation are strictly prohibited and may be reported to law enforcement. Child exploitation will be reported to authorities via the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
"Sexually suggestive content or activities are also prohibited, although they may be allowed in educational contexts or for pre-approved licensed content, in each case subject to additional restrictions."
The ban was apparently first revealed by reporter Jake Lucky, who tweeted: "A Twitch streamer decided to have sex while live on stream... "
He went on to say: "She has since been banned on both of her Twitch accounts We've officially seen it all."
The streamer in question told the reporter it was "a drunken accident and ended [the] stream quickly," Lucky said in a follow-up tweet.
He went on to write: "I think something this stupid warrants a perma ban."
Lucky also said that she told him her ban was only a weeklong one.
He added: "The streamer who had sex on stream verbally stated she only got a 7 day ban from Twitch, she did not show the email or screenshots of the ban. Highly doubt Twitch will keep it at 7 days now."
