Victoria Pedretti has claimed that a "well-known actor" made a pretty gross comment to her about her body at a party.

The 28-year-old is best known for her roles in You - a psychological thriller series starring Penn Badgley as a deranged and obsessive serial killer - and the Haunting of Hill House, a dramatic series about a family and their haunted house.

Despite being an acclaimed actress, not everyone in the industry has treated her as such.

In fact, Pedretti exposed a disturbing incident in a recent post on Instagram, which has since been deleted.

In it, Pedretti - who goes by the quirky handle @then0t0ri0usvip - claims that a prominent actor had made a particularly lewd comment about her body.

Underneath a nude shot of her body, Pedretti wrote: "Wft is 'partial' nudity? Happy birthday to me [middle finger emoji].

"On my bday last year a 'well known' actor walked up to me at a party and said, 'I've j**ked off to you so many times'. I was shocked by the audacity," she revealed. "This is AFTER he expressed how much he RESPECTED me as an actor lol."

The caption continued: "Sometimes I enjoy modesty, sometimes I don't. It's a joke to think that my own modesty will protect me from any disrespect I may experience as a femme body.

"Also shout out to my body. I love you. You're mine," Pedretti concluded.

While she didn't divulge who the actor is, the post was swiftly removed without explanation. Though, are we really surprised that Pedretti received such a disgusting comment? After all, sexualizing female celebrities is unfortunately nothing new.

In fact, multiple other famous faces have come forward to speak out about it, including Modern Family star Ariel Winter, whose naturally large chest was consistently a topic of discussion throughout her teen years. In 2016, the now-25-year-old told ABC's Good Morning America that she was disappointed about "walking down the red carpet and seeing the photos afterward and having every headline be about my cleavage and not about my talent. ... Not about what I was really there for or anything that I wanted to be put out there."

Emma Watson, 32 - who rose to fame as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter franchise - told Forest Whittaker, 61, during a 2015 interview that she had multiple outlets holding "countdown clocks" to her 18th birthday. She even revealed that paparazzi had waited around after her 18th birthday party to upskirt her (snap photos of someone from underneath their skirt or dress) since it would have then been legal.

"If they'd published the photographs 24 hours earlier, they would've been illegal. My transition into womanhood was dealt with very differently by the tabloid press than it was for my male counterparts," Watson admitted.

As for the actor who made the comment to Pedretti last year, here's hoping her post was enough to shame him into realizing his actions were way out of line.
