One delighted fan wrote: "Just gonna say it Guardians of the Galaxy 3 is the best Marvel movie I have ever seen. I'm not sure I can go into work tomorrow after all the emotions it put me through."
Another user gushed: "Guardians of the Galaxy vol.3 was maybe the hardest movie I’ve ever had to sit through. I have a headache from sobbing. I’m literally never watching that movie again. In my opinion, the best Marvel movie ever made."
A third person raved: "I realize that as a goofy divorced white dude from the midwest who was bffs with his deceased grandpa, occasionally drinks his feelings, and was raised on 90s music, I might be a little biased but Guardians of the Galaxy 3 is the best Marvel movie I’ve ever seen good lord."
"Had me crying in the theater. EVERY character has a complete arc. the soundtrack is perfect. the pacing is flawless," the fan added.
A fourth user said: "Just watched Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3. It’s beautiful. James Gunn has delivered not only the best superhero trilogy of all time, but the best sci-fi trilogy since the original Star Wars movies. An absolute emotional rollercoaster, it’s incredible!"
Despite the rave reviews from the audience for GOTG3, the third movie currently has 80 percent on Rotten Tomatoes - the lowest out of the three films as 2014's GOTG had 92 percent, while the second one reached 85 percent.
Nevertheless, cinemagoers have won as the new film earned a whooping 97 percent audience score.
It has been revealed that director James Gunn prepared 600 different versions of the movie. These won't change the storyline or add additional details to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but will instead "maximize their screen size for the audience" in theaters.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter about the release, Disney's VP of finishing and stereo, Evan Jacobs disclosed: "So wherever you go to see it, you're gonna see the best version." He added that this move is "definitely the most complex delivery Marvel’s ever done".
