Vince Vaughn has opened up on the angry backlash he received after being spotted talking to President Trump earlier this year in a private suite at the 2020 College Football Playoff national championship game.
The 50-year-old Wedding Crashers star was seen talking to Trump as Melania sat between them, and reportedly shook hands with the president, per Fox News.

“In my career I’ve met a lot of politicians who I’ve always been cordial to; I’ve met Nancy Pelosi and was cordial to her as well,” Vaughn told the Los Angeles Times during an interview about his new film, Freaky.
The actor insisted the incident had become overblown, telling the Times, "It was the only time I’ve ever met him. We said hello. He was very personable.
“I didn’t get into policies.” He added.

Regarding the modern political climate Vaughn said, “I think people are more charged than ever about these things,” adding:
“But I don’t think most people take that stuff as seriously as the small percentage that’s making noise about it. I was raised with the idea that you could have different likes and beliefs and you should respect and defend that in other people, not shout it down. The people you disagree with the most, you should stand up for their right to do that.”
Some people came to the conclusion that Vaughn was a supporter of Donald Trump after the incident in question, something that the actor told the Times is not correct.
“The only candidate I ever supported is [former Libertarian presidential nominee] Ron Paul. … I don’t have a party that I support and endorse. In fact, for me sometimes it’s difficult to find a candidate that you feel is philosophically consistent and not just going along with whoever is funding their particular party." He said.
"That’s as much as I’ll get into it at this point.”
Meanwhile, social media users have been pointing out a perceived change in the previously golden hair of the 74-year-old president.
Yes, it's hardly the most pressing issue facing the United States right now in the face of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and the furore surrounding the president's refusal to concede the election, but social media users were enraptured by the change.
For instance, one Twitter user wrote, "It appears Donald Trump’s hair dye has conceded."

"Uhm. Anybody wanna talk about how Trump's hair is suddenly white as a sheet of paper???" Another twitter user added.

"I don't think we're talking enough how Trump's hair went gray since the election." A third commenter added.
