Whoopi Goldberg has hit back at a heckler in the audience of The View after they called her an 'old broad' during the broadcast.
The TV star, 67, has hosted the show since 2007 but faced controversy in recent years over some of the comments she has made.
In January 2022, she faced widespread criticism and was suspended from the show for two weeks for her take on the Holocaust, claiming it was not based on race but "man's inhumanity to man".
She said at the time: "This is white people doing it to white people, so y'all going to fight amongst yourselves," before later apologizing on Twitter as well as on-air the following day.

This week, Whoopi was lauded for her response to an audience member who called her an "old broad" during Wednesday's show.
The moment happened right at the start of the show, as all the hosts came out to take their seats in front of the excitable audience.
According to reports from Entertainment Weekly, it was then that one particular audience member chose to yell the slightly offensive term at the Oscar-winning actress.
She responded by calling them out, saying: "Did you just call me an old broad? Yeah. She said, 'You old broad,' and I was like, 'Hey, it’s Wednesday, and I am an old broad, and happy about it.'"
The camera then cut to the woman, who was wearing a large fur hat and face mask, who nodded in acknowledgment that that was what she had said.
Co-host Sunny Hostin, 54, then interjected to add that being an 'old broad' is definitely better than the alternative - being dead.
Whoopi joked: "The alternative is not attractive to any of us. We all want to be old broads and old dudes, you know?"
During the rest of the broadcast, the cameras often cut back to the woman in the fur hat for her reactions to the topics being discussed.
Whoopi recently addressed the controversy she had faced after her comments on the Holocaust, explaining: "Recently while doing press in London, I was asked about my comments from earlier this year. I tried to convey to the reporter what I had said and why, and attempted to recount that time.

"It was never my intention to appear as if I was doubling down on hurtful comments, especially after talking with and hearing people like rabbis and old and new friends weighing in.
"I’m still learning a lot, and believe me, I heard everything everyone said to me. I believe that the Holocaust was about race, and I am still as sorry now as I was then that I upset, hurt, and angered people."
She added: "My sincere apologies again, especially to everyone who thought this was a fresh rehash of the subject. I promise it was not."
