WARNING: This article contains spoilers for Squid Game: The Challenge!

The world has been gripped by Netflix's latest show, which offers the biggest prize in reality TV history meaning that the drama has been intense throughout.

As the name suggests, Squid Game: The Challenge follows a similar path to the hit Squid Game series which kept us all entertained back in 2021.

The two shows feature 456 participants fighting it out for a huge cash prize - in this case, $4.56 million. The difference is that people don't die in this version.

Though the use of ink packs to signify when someone has been eliminated is a pretty genius touch if you ask me, that's only a fraction of the drama. Check out the trailer for the show below:

Starting with the classic game of red light, green light, we witnessed many players get eliminated, including one woman who opted to squat for the duration of the challenge... which was a pretty bizarre tactic.

What followed was a man named Spencer making everyone else feel sick by gagging while tackling the classic Dalgona candy game, where players have to successfully get a shape out of honeycomb candy without snapping it.

While that might sound easy, given that the shapes range from a triangle to an umbrella, the levels of difficulty certainly vary and the stakes are raised when players are forced to argue about what shape they get.

Everyone expected tug of war to be next as it was in the original Squid Game, and player 432 (if you know, you know) was extremely confident that he would win.

So when it turned into a game of warships and player 432 was eliminated while blaming all of those around him, it was a glorious moment.

Marbles came next and it all seemed fairly civil until one man began berating a deaf player as he deemed them to be using "the sympathy card".

All while player numbers were dwindling, the terrifying glass bridge was next and the group decided on a fair way of playing where everyone had a 50/50 chance... Until Ashley decided that she was above that and got Trey eliminated.

I'm still angry about that.

A simple dice roll took the numbers down even further before players were forced to eliminate their friends by placing a present on their desks.

In between these challenges were "tests", which mostly meant that players were forced to eliminate each other by name, which was pretty brutal.

After all of this, we were left with three. Mai (Player 287), Phill (Player 451), and Sam (Player 016).

The final episode saw a banquet take place before we got to the legendary finale - Squid Game... or so we thought.

But before we could get there, three became two... and it all came down to the push of a button. Sadly, this saw Sam (Player 016) sent home - his chances of becoming a multi-millionaire were ripped away from him by chance.

Rather than Squid Game, the final challenge came to to a simple childhood game of Rock, Paper, Scissors - all for the opportunity to choose a key and open a safe.

After all the challenges, standing victorious was Mai (Player 287), who headed home with the eyewatering cash prize of $4.56 million.

Some have questioned whether the reality show is in good taste, given that the original series was about the horrors that capitalism can cause... but it gave the rest of us some great drama regardless.

Even if you haven't seen the series and decided to read all of these spoilers, it is still very much worth the watch. People can get very nasty when millions of dollars are at stake!
