Most people get a bit of a shock when they first watch Game of Thrones at just how graphic and errr... "unconventional" the sex scenes are in the show. The hit HBO show is not afraid to show incest or even horrible rape scenes, and there are plenty of spicy sex scenes between legitimate lovers that make even the moves of Christian Grey seem a bit vanilla and lame.
But one racy scene that took place in the latest season had people scratching their heads, wondering about the logistics of how it was possible. I'm speaking of course about the second episode of season 7 when Daenerys' super smart confidant Missandei finally gets a moment alone with Grey Worm before he's about to go on a mission to Casterly Rock that could easily lead to his death.
The two have had the hots for each other since their first meeting, but their unrelenting duty to their queen, as well as a bit of everyday shyness, has stopped them from actually doing the dirty. But then, it finally happened. And while people wiped away odd little tears of joy, they were also wondering how. Because isn't Grey Worm a eunuch (aka, had his junk cut off)?
Now, the actress who plays Missandei, Nathalie Emmanuel, has spoken to Entertainment Weekly about the scene and how she believes it would've been possible.

“We’ve seen them show their interest in each other, we’ve seen them in a round about way express it for each other, but not really say it,” Emmanuel said. “This point is the climax and they physically act upon it.”
“There’s something unique about it purely because of Grey Worm’s situation. His brutal history of being mutilated — there’s a real sense of trust here and that really plays out in this lovely scene where they physically act upon their love. For him to do that is a really big deal and Missandei knows that and doesn’t really care. She just loves him and that intimacy they’ve shared comes to a head."

Literally, as Grey Worm also goes down on her in the scene. But in all seriousness, the scene was an important one in that it focused on the trust and deep love in their relationship, and that finally consummating their feelings for each other was more about that than about a man's genitalia.
Emmanuel also spoke about the "vulnerability" her character felt in the scene:
"Missandei is always so official and straight and poised so to be vulnerable and see her human side of her, a little off balance, is kind of great and fun to play. She’s kept things very together to stay composed but this scene is the opposite of that. She’s quite clear about what she wants because she fears she’ll never have the chance to have that with him again."
But despite all this explanation, it still didn't stop people from asking questions.

Well, historically speaking, eunuchs are usually only castrated – meaning not everything is removed. Jacob Anderson, who plays Grey Worm explained his understanding of the situation on the Game of Thrones Season 7 DVD commentary, saying: "I think Grey Worm’s got a willy is my understanding. But he doesn’t have balls."
Huh. So that's how.
