VT Originals: Hairy Leggings
From an early age, the fairer sex are taught that body hair is unacceptable. While it might have once served a purpose in keeping us warm, in the modern world, it's no longer necessary, and refusing to shave remains one of the biggest social faux pas a woman can commit.
With the feminist movement only growing in prevalence, many women are choosing to abandon their razors and embrace their bodies in their natural state - even if that means receiving a few funny looks when they expose their bodies in all their hairy, unkempt glory.
If ditching your razor is an idea that you've been toying with, then the designer Contrado has the perfect product for you. Their "hairy leggings" allow women to see what life with a lot more body hair would be like, without having to commit to life as a feminine Chewbacca.
The product's description reads: "these form-fitting leggings are printed with a realistic hairy pattern that's guaranteed to turn heads; just not in a positive way!"
Viral videos thrive on products like Contrado's hairy leggings. Not only are they eye-catching, but they a create an important societal talking point. That's why VT approached the company to make a branded video about their extremely unique leggings.
The video itself was centered around society's attitudes towards female body hair, playing on the outrageous reactions some people have to it, jokingly describing the product as an "anti-wolf whistle" device.
Captioned, "They can help you fit in with your hairy friends", the video was designed to entertain and open up a conversation on social media.

VT's clever presentation of the leggings coupled with the product itself meant that the video ended up receiving 11M views, 66K shares, 67K likes and 43.9K comments on Facebook since it was posted on January 4.
Those who viewed the video and decided that hairy leggings were exactly what they needed in their life would have been pleased to discover that Contrado also has a range of products centered around body hair, including a "hairy bikini" - which is exactly what it sounds like.
Although body hair on women isn't for everyone, those who chose to ditch their razors shouldn't be shamed for it. Contrado's hairy leggings, therefore, provide women with a way to support this razor ditching movement without actually joining in themselves!
