'Heartbreak High' star Scott Major is unrecognisable 20 years after playing bully Peter Rivers
Scott Major looks unrecognizable more than two decades after he played the long-haired bad boy in the 90s teen drama Heartbreak High.
The 45-year-old showed off his dramatically different appearance in a video on the personalized messaging app Cameo, where he discussed the upcoming reboot of Heartbreak High, the Daily Mail reports.
The unrecognizable actor had wavy hair and a greying, scraggly beard, and was wearing a baseball cap and knitted jumper.
“I would like to be part of the reboot,” he said in the video. “In fact, I've contacted the producers. I've contacted the production company, I've contacted the CEO. I've basically said I will do anything.”
Scott then joked: "But maybe they don't want me? Maybe I'm not talented enough? Maybe my time at Heartbreak High is finished.
“'I hope not because I'd really like to be part of it. I'd really love to be Rivers again or just in front of a camera or something, I don't know."
He continued: "I'm so happy they're making it again and I hope that it captures the essence the original one captured."
Scott then reflected on his memorable role in the series, saying: “As Rivers, I was cool and hip and I used to wear flannels with one arm and a hat with no peak.
"I guess I'm getting older – not that you'd notice because I don't look much older."
Scott has appeared in local dramas such as Blue Heelers, Always Greener, and the long-running soap Neighbours since his starring role in Heartbreak High.
He originally shot to fame for his role in Home and Away in the 90s and he went on to make an even bigger name for himself as Peter on Heartbreak High when he was just 18 years old.
Heartbreak High ran from 1994 to 1999 for seven seasons on Channel 10 and ABC and was centered on a fictional group of students at a Sydney high school.
As per the Sun, it was announced in December of last year that there will be a reboot of the ABC and Network Ten show, and it is set to air next year.
