LeBron James – star of the
Cleveland Cavaliers and one of the best basketballers the game has ever seen – has made quite a name for himself as not only an athlete, but also a businessman and philanthropist. Outside of basketball, the 32-year-old is known for his various endeavours including his shoe line, advocating for equality, and his
secret handshake with Jay-Z (no, really).
You know what King James apparently wants a bit more of as well? Hunting tips.
And not just from any old shmuck with a rifle and camo vest, but from a rather striking young brunette who shares her passion with hunting and fishing with that of striking provocative poses for Instagram.

Heidi Hoback from Virginia shared a couple of screenshots in which she claims that the King himself messaged her directly on Instagram, asking for some hunting lessons, in exchange for basketball tips. Fair deal, right?
Heidi uploaded the screenshot of the initial message to her Snapchat, captioning it with: "Athletes slide in girls dms all the time so this isn't the craziest part but sheesh, biggest buck I've ever seen over here."
Once she got over how big the "buck" was, Hoback had a lengthy conversation with "the King", where she seemed to be saying a lot more than him. The odd thing was that she censored her own part of the message with a bunch of skull emojis. The response elicited from the basketball star had everyone curious about what she had to say.
The fact that he reportedly contacted
this
particular hunter/angler-come-Instamodel had people wondering... especially considering he's been married since 2013 and has a 3-year-old daughter.

And it looks like people had a lot to say about it too. Heidi made a YouTube video explaining the whole scenario, saying that she had no idea he was married and also saying she wasn't trying to be suggestive about the conversation.
She clarified that the
"biggest buck I've ever seen over here" she referred to in the caption of her screenshot was referring to a huge male deer she had seen moments earlier.
"I honestly was just having a normal day for me, going over and hunting," she said in the video. "And then this wild encounter with a buck happened and it just so happened to be right when LeBron DMed me, so I thought I would share that."

"I took to my Snapchat to share it with my followers because I thought it would be a funny story. You know, the message was pretty innocent as far as I knew.
"And then some of my followers informed me that he was married which I had no clue of because I don't follow him, I don't follow him. I wouldn't consider myself a fan so I wasn't aware of that at all.
"So I guess it's been misconstrued somehow and to saying that I was calling Lebron a buck, but you know I don't even really know what that term means."

She said she responded to his initial message telling him about the buck she had just seen and insisted the whole thing was "extremely innocent".
While she initially uploaded only a censored version of her conversation, she later posted the screenshot without the skull emojis covering her replies.
She closed the case with a message specifically for LeBron – and his family: "LeBron, if you ever actually do want to go and hunt – you're more than welcome to bring the whole family out and we can definitely arrange that here in Virginia."
LeBron's yet to say anything about the matter, and no-one's really sure if his wife
does
actually want to go hunting or not.
