Jack Black is looking for a battle of the jams. The famous actor, who has played plenty of rock stars, and is immortalized in his film School of Rock, is calling out
Thor, Loki and Odin for biting his style. In fact, it's all in jest, but there could be an actual battle of the bands here. All of the pagan Norsemen in existence against a bunch of high schoolers who were taught the ways of the band by Jack Black. A fine teacher, for sure.
Black released an Instagram video where he made his accusations, cast his gauntlet/shade, and challenged the Norse boys.

Jack's statement reads as follows:
"You know in School of Rock where I sing a part of that monstrous Led Zeppelin jam 'Immigrant Song', and it's super bitchin' and the raddest part of the movie? Well, it's come to my attention that someone kind of stole that chunk of our movie and put it in their movie... That's right! I'm talking about Thor: Ragnarok. Totally bit our style, totally poached our jam, and now they're parading around town like they thought of it. Well, you don't get to do that and get away with it, bro!"
Black finishes it off with one last jab:
"I'm calling you out, Thor. This is a challenge. I challenge you...to a battle of the jams!"
And, believe it or not, but Thor, also known as actor
Chris Hemsworth, had a word or two to say in response:
"You got me. We stole 'Immigrant Song' from you, but guess what? You stole it, too. And, as Oscar Wilde once said, 'talent borrows and genius steals', so we're both guilty of the same crime."
He even took a shot at Black's former 1990s band, Tenacious D. Hemsworth claimed he would have used 'Tribute' instead of
Led Zeppelin's 'Immigrant Song', but instead said:
"We would have used your song, but as you said in your song, 'this is not the greatest song in the world'. So we moved on."
Ouch. Now, he wants to rock off, and finished by accepting Black's challenge:
"My place or yours, baby? I'm in."
Will we get School Of Rock 2 starring Chris Hemsworth and Jack Black? A real-life contest of the best guitar slinger in America and Australia combined? Enough beating around the bush, time to have a straight-up high school talent show between these two. Black has more experience with guitars, so he very well may win. But Thor could pull out some serious horn techniques or something, and make a song that Black is totally unprepared for.
Or, they may never meet. The pipe dream may never become a reality. But either way, it's good that Black called him out. In other celebrity news, you can check out
Jason Mamoa and his amazing relationship with his wife. Pass the time until the battle of jams, you know? Of course you know. You'll be waiting for it because it'll be amazing when it happens, as we all know.
