2018 has been a year of drama for Khloe Kardashian - and it ain't over yet.

Right back at the start of the year, the reality star announced that she and her boyfriend, Tristan Thompson, were expecting their first child together. Fans were elated for her, of course - but the joy didn't last. Shortly before Khloe was due to give birth, Tristan was caught up in a scandal that exposed him as a cheater: first with a woman who claimed on Instagram that she had slept with him, and then via TMZ, who posted footage of him behaving flirtatiously with women in a club.

Needless to say, Khloe was not happy, and nor were the rest of the Kardashian family.

One by one, the KUWTK stars made their feelings known about the NBA star - but Khloe agreed to stay with him in the end. Since then, he's been on slightly better behaviour (though there are still rumours flying around about his infidelity), and the whole incident seems to have been put in the past.

However, the latest season of Keeping up with the Kardashians is still airing - and it's only just got to the bit where Tristan's cheating is revealed. At the same time, questions arose about why Khloe allegedly hooked up with Tristan while his girlfriend of the time was pregnant... and now she's finally responded.

A few days ago, someone left this comment on Khloe's Instagram page:

But Khloe hit back, saying that she "completely thrives" when she's alone, and that she does not need Tristan to survive.

"If he does it again, then I will deal with that but those are my choices. Right or wrong they are mine. I appreciate the support, unsolicited opinions and love I get from you all. I'm not excusing anyone's behaviour."

She then went on to add: "PS he never left ANYONE for me."

But fans begged to differ, and showed pictures that Khloe shared of her and Tristan while he was still supposed to be with his then-girlfriend Jordan Craig.

Khloe denied this, saying the pictures were taken at another time. But critics kept hitting back:

Kardashian refused to back down, however.

So, right now, the official Kardashian stance is that Khloe didn't start dating Tristan while he was still with Jordan... even if the reports and social media posts of the time say differently.

It also appears that Khloe is doubling down on her support of her partner, saying in another Instagram post that "we all make mistakes" and that Tristan has "grown from this" and is now "a beautiful father".

In all likelihood, then, we'll never get to the bottom of this matter. And, as for Khloe's and Tristan's relationship lasting - only time will tell.

It would be safe to say that the last few months in the Kardashian family have been eventful. Firstly, there were the continued rumours that three of the sisters were pregnant and the subsequent press storm that followed the rumours. Then, Kim had her baby via a surrogate, Kylie Jenner gave birth to Stormi and Khloe Kardashian recently gave birth to True. But, despite True being Khloe's first child and a joyous occasion, the pregnancy was dogged by infidelity on the behalf of her partner, Tristan Thompson.

In the weeks building up to the birth, Thompson was pictured apparently getting close to various other women, reportedly across a timeline of around a year. However, despite the seemingly concrete evidence that her baby daddy had been playing away, it's believed that Khloe is committed to trying to make the relationship work.

"She has one foot out the door but is also holding on to the fact that her and Tristan can make it work," a source told E! News. "She hasn't given up on him yet, but also hasn't really been focusing on their relationship. When they see each other, it is all about the baby and parenting together. Khloe has fallen in love with him all over again, watching him be a dad to True, but [she also] knows she needs to really take a step back and make the right decision."

Khloe's decision has been harder by the fact that "everyone close to her thinks she needs to split from Tristan and has told her she can do this on her own."

However, her family and friends also realize that "it's her life" and that "Khloe needs to do what's right for their baby."

Despite the constant headlines and worldwide interest, Khloe "isn't focusing" on the cheating allegations and "is trying to move forward." But, understandably, the source claims that Khloe is "quite devastated."

While Khloe or Tristan are yet to discuss the allegations, Kim Kardashian has weighed in with her opinion on the whole ordeal, describing the situation that her sister finds herself in as "f**ked up."

"Like, I don’t even know how to describe it other than it’s just so f**ked up. We really were rooting for Khloe. And we still are," said Kim to the daytime talk show host.

"She’s so strong and she’s doing the best she can. It’s a really sad situation all over."

The candid personality continued, saying that she doesn't want to discuss the situation in too much detail:

"I kind of made this rule with my brother: if there’s a baby involved, I’m not going talk—I’m going to keep it cute and keep it classy and not talk too bad on [the parent]—I’m going to try not to say anything too negative because one day, True is going to see this, and it’s just, you know, so messed up."

Kim also said that Khloe's main focus in on the child.

"You know, I think she’s not thinking of anything," Kim said;

"I think she just wants a clear head and just wants to be alone with her baby and figure that out and the family’s flown out there a few times."

"I think it must be so hard to have your heart broken and fall in love all in a day or two, all happening at the same time and I think she just needs some [space]."

However, while Kim has tried to remain dignified in it all, she did fire off the ultimate millennial-diss by unfollowing Thompson on Instagram yesterday. Despite this, Kylie, Kendall, Kourtney and Kris all still follow the much-maligned NBA player.

Kim's response to the affair may have been dignified, but you can imagine that, behind closed doors, Thompson has been getting an earful from the Kardashian-clan. Hopefully, for the sake of the child, the couple can work things out.

Around the 4:25 mark, Khloé calls the makeup project her and Kylie's "baby". While this seems innocuous enough, she then goes onto say that they have "eight babies" together. It's not the word "baby" that is the most interesting thing here, it's the number "eight".

As you likely know by now, the Kardashian family aren't too happy with Tristan Thompson at the moment. After his cheating scandal last year, in which photos of him with another woman were leaked, he seemed to be in the doghouse - but with baby True Thompson on the way, Khloé tried to make it work.

It was just over a year ago that rumours were still circulating that Khloé and her half-sister Kylie Jenner were both pregnant, something that both of them later confirmed. At the end of 2017, Khloé announced her pregnancy for real, describing it as her "greatest dream realized," before she blessed her followers with some baby bump snaps.

While Tristan's affair was likely not an easy thing for her to get over, things started to look good for the couple last year as they embraced parenthood and reportedly started heading to couples counselling.

Things went south this year, however, after Tristan and Khloé split, after the reality star discovered that her husband had been cheating on her with a woman named Jordyn Woods. As if it wasn't bad enough, it turns out that the other woman in this situation was Kylie Jenner's best friend...

TMZ first reported that Tristan and Jordyn were "all over each other" at a house party. Khloé found out the following Monday, and broke up with him immediately.

It was all based on the words of various entertainment reporters who had landed the scoop - but Khloé started to come forward with some cryptic comments, and then both she, her family, and Jordyn herself have publicly commented on what went down. But if you think the drama is over now, you'd be dead wrong.

According to TMZ, also known as the Tristan Monitoring Zone, the Canadian basketball player isn't waiting for the scandal to simmer down before he carries on with his single life. It seems like yesterday everyone was freaking out over the Jordyn Woods reveal, but now it appears he's already gone on a date. Dude moves fast.

Thompson reportedly went to Carbone restaurant in New York, from which he posted an Instagram story. The photo was of his food, but we also caught a glimpse of a woman sat across from him. Tristan immediately deleted the photo from his story, but it was too late - the Shade Room had already screenshotted it and shared it with the rest of us.

"He don’t give af about Khloe," user @india___ wrote, while @denv_rose added: "I literally can't believe it."

Other users pointed out that Tristan seems to get by just fine despite cheating, while it's Jordyn who is catching all the negative press. "He out enjoying life because all of the negative attention has been directed towards Jordyn and not on him," @thatssobiz added. "He’s off the hook again."

While Khloé has released her statement on the matter, Tristan still hasn't commented on what's happened, and his social media updates seem to just be him going about his day-to-day life.
