After trying to keep her pregnancy a secret (and failing),
Kylie Jenner finally announced that
she gave birth to a healthy baby girl on February 1st. The father is rapper
Travis Scott, and this brings an end to months of feverish speculation. "Is Kylie Jenner pregnant?" we asked, scrutinizing paparazzi photos for baby bumps, and checking TMZ every few minutes for the latest update from an "inside source." Now the mystery is solved and we can all sleep a little easier.
The 20-year-old reality star shared the news on Instagram, and apologized to her fans for keeping them in the dark.
"I knew my baby would feel every stress and every emotion so I chose to do it this way for my little life and our happiness, " wrote Kylie. "Pregnancy has been the most beautiful, empowering, and life changing experience I’ve had in my entire life and I’m actually going to miss it. I appreciate my friends and especially my family for helping me make this special moment as private as we could."

Now fans are dying to find out the newborn's name. Celebrity baby names are hard to predict.
Kim Kardashian and
Kanye West named their kids, North, Saint and Chicago. Nobody saw that coming. However, some fans on social media developed a theory. They noticed that Kylie frequently wears a necklace covered in butterflies, and that she and Travis Scott have matching butterfly tattoos. So, maybe they'd name their baby Butterfly, or something related to butterflies, like Monarch, Mariposa, Vanessa or Macrolepidopteran Clade Rhopalocera. But they were way off.

On Instagram, Kylie shared a photo of her baby girl holding her finger. In the caption, she typed just one word, revealing her newborn's name: "Stormi." Huh. You have to hand it to the Kardashian family - they come up with some pretty unique names.
Kim Kardashian soon confirmed the name on Twitter, posting an emoji of a storm.

There were some pretty funny (if savage) reactions on Twitter, poking fun at the fact that their family now has a "Stormy" and a "Reign." When you combine that with "North" and "Chicago," the family's names are beginning to sound like a weather forecast. Maybe they'll name their next child Tsunami, or
"Bomb Cyclone."

Also, many people pointed out the unfortunate timing: Recently a huge news story broke about adult film star Stormy Daniels. Allegedly, she had an affair with
Donald Trump, and his lawyer paid her $130,000 in hush money to keep quiet. Last week she made a high profile appearance on
Jimmy Kimmel Live after the President's State of the Union address. (And she hilariously deflected every question in the interview). Is it too late for Kylie and Travis to change the name? Actually, maybe it's okay. One name ends with a "y" and one name ends with an "i. They're totally different.

Congratulations Kylie, Travis and Stormi! Hope you're ready for a lifetime of weather-related puns.
