Looking to the future, most of us have a list of things we'd like to do with our lives. Whether it's writing a book, having kids, or simply visiting a certain country for the first time.

And the coronavirus pandemic has forced us to take stock of our lives, prompting this 103-year-old grandma to get her first tattoo after spending months isolating in a nursing home.

Michigan grandmother Dorothy Pollack turned 103 on June 16, and when she was finally allowed out again, there was one thing that she wanted to do: get a tattoo of a frog.

"It was pretty exciting because years ago my grandson wanted me to get [a tattoo] and I wouldn't do it," Dorothy told CNN. "All of a sudden, I decided I would like to have one. And if I could, a frog."

"Because I like frogs," she added, laughing.

Dorothy had been thinking about getting a tattoo for years and her artist, Ray Reasoner, said that she took the pain "like a champ".

"I didn't even see her wince. Maybe she had half a wince once," Ray of A.W.O.L. Custom Tattooing said.

"She was just so excited. It was an amazing experience. If someone over a century old tells you to do something for them, you just gotta do it."

Dorothy, Ray's oldest ever client, opted to get the frog on her forearm to celebrate turning 103, and it was even more special after her granddaughter Teresa Zavitz-Jones said that the ongoing pandemic had her "in prison for months."

"The nurse in the home said she was horribly depressed and we needed to get her out," Teresa added.

"We couldn't see her so we had no idea how she really was. She's extremely hard of hearing so phone calls were not helpful."

Dorothy's end of quarantine-belated birthday celebration didn't end there, either, and like a true bada*s, the 103-year-old went for a ride on a Harley-Davidson after getting her first tattoo.
