A 56-year-old, 5-foot-3-inch mother and entrepreneur has revealed how she feels she has reinvented herself by becoming a finalist in the Sports Illustrated Swim Search.

Kathy Jacobs from California says is representing middle-aged women and short models in her stunning series of shots featured in the July 21st edition of the prestigious Swimsuit Issue.

Throughout her life, Jacobs says she has "reinvented" herself many times - working as a baker, crafter, and even creating her own skincare line. In fact, last year, Jacobs was working a minimum wage job at a Dry Bar just to fund her aspirations.

That's when she turned her attention to modeling, and more importantly, modeling for Sports Illustrated.

Speaking to The Post, she said: "I think it’s pretty cool that I get to come back to modeling again. Don’t ever give up on yourself.

"I have reinvented myself so many times. I have been on the ‘Today' show and ‘Rachel Ray’ baking and doing crafts."

Jacobs had worked as a model three decades ago and had even landed the cover of Woman's World.

But last year, Jacobs was eager to once again prove she's still got it - and was one of many hopefuls who entered the Sports Illustrated open-call contest Swim Search - eventually becoming one of the final six chosen to be featured in the magazine.

Speaking about her phenomenal shots, Jacobs says that her intense fitness routine means she is happy to show off her abs. "I think I look better in a bikini than a one-piece," she told The Post.

Jacobs also spoke about her diet, revealing that she is strict with food because her mother has high blood pressure and has suffered multiple strokes, resulting in dementia.

"I don’t eat bread, pasta, white potatoes, rice or meat. I eat fish and don’t have sugar," she said.

Well, that definitely seems to be working!

The SI photoshoot took place in Turks and Caicos with the other five Swim Search finalists.

Speaking to Fox News back in March, Jacobs said:

"I set my mind to posing in a bikini for Sports Illustrated,” she said after competing for a spot in last year’s search.

"A year ago, I had just quit my minimum wage job sweeping the floor at Dry Bar and I said, I'm going to give this one last shot. I'm gonna take some headshots and send them out. And I got some modeling and acting jobs. And I won this contest in a year. I mean, it's crazy. So anyone out there. Anyone out there that thinks that it's too late for them. I'm here to tell them that it's not. I'm here to tell them to believe in themselves."

"I'm here for the girls over 50 and I'm here for the petite girls. Because I just want to tell you something, the average height of a woman in America is 5-foot-4. And when they say inclusive, they don't include us shorties. They never include us. And finally, they're including us. And I'm just so grateful to Sports Illustrated for including us."

Jacobs really is proof that you're never too old to give up on what you love.
