The supermarket first started selling Slurpees in 1965, under the name Icees. By 1967, the name was changed to Slurpee, and the drink has become a practically iconic fixture at 7-Eleven ever since.

According to the franchise, each year approximately 7.3 million gallons of Slurpees are consumed worldwide - enough to fill 12 Olympic-sized swimming pools.

Don't all get brain freeze at once now.
