With many of us stuck at home and longing for the lockdown to be lifted so we can go and frolic in the sun, we have had no choice but to browse for and purchase our summer outfits from online retailers.

ASOS is one of the most popular online clothing retailers around the world - selling over 850 brands (as well as its own range of clothing and accessories) to every country in the world.

It is for this reason that the chain stocks literally thousands of different items every season - and with such a high turn-around of products, there are bound to be some questionable fashion choices in there.

Take, for example, the 'ASOS DESIGN printed frill two-piece shorts', currently available on their website for a cool $35.

Per the product's official description, the shorts feature a floral print, pull-on high rise design, and a frill trim. They also feature very little fabric beneath the waist, with some ASOS customers describing them as looking like a 'diaper'.

Taking to Twitter, one woman named Marina said of the shorts: "These shorts literally look like a diaper, [ASOS] sometimes has the weirdest clothes in stock".

And the diaper comparisons didn't end there.

The shorts were quickly picked up by the @asbos_sos Instagram page - an account dedicated to all the weird and wonderful items ASOS stock on their site.

Sharing an image of the shorts, the account captioned the post to their 37,000+ followers: "When u get up mid Zoom and forget u are wearing a nappy." ("Nappy" is the UK term for "diaper".)

Since being posted on the account, the shorts have amassed over 2.2K likes, and

One commenter wrote: "Nappy knickers and huge puffy sleeves."

While a second Instagram user joked: "Looks like the frilly nappy pants our mums put on us as babies to match our dresses."

A third simply asked: "WHAT ARE THOSE?"

So, would you be brave enough to wear these shorts?

In another recent online shopping fail, mom Amy Kerr purchased a black "underbust" style item for £5 ($6.25 USD) from online clothing retailer PrettyLittleThing. However, once the dress arrived and she had tried it on, Kerr soon realized she definitely wouldn't be leaving the house wearing it.

The mom then took to Twitter to complain to the retail giant about the fashion fail - comparing the model on the website with her own exposed experience.

She captioned the post: "PLT dresses are smart like."

The original tweet has since received over 7.4K Retweets and 87.6K Likes. Kerr posted a follow-up tweet to the retailers, asking: "@OfficialPLT can I have some free nipple covers to go with this dress".

One Twitter-user replied to Kerr, saying: "The top bit looks like it would barely cover a five year olds chest let alone an adult it’s so short [sic]".

Of course, this was a statement Kerr was happy to test herself, and Amy literally dressed her five-year-old son in the controversial outfit. And it actually fit kinda well...

"Here is the dress on a 5-year-old for comparison purposes", Amy wrote alongside the image.
