One bride had a simple request for her wedding day.

Lucy Edwards, an activist and influencer based in Birmingham, England, got married to her fiancé Ollie Cave at a ceremony in London on August 31.

As Lucy lost her eyesight at the age of 17 due to a rare genetic condition called incontinentia pigment, she decided to take a unique approach for her special day.

The bride requested that her husband-to-be and their family and friends wear blindfolds so that they could experience what it was like for her to walk down the aisle.

The emotional moment - which was captured on camera and shared on TikTok - revealed the bride dressed in a stunning white wedding gown and veil, carrying a bridal bouquet.

Watch the moment below:

The heartwarming clip begins with Lucy exiting a taxi alongside her family and bridesmaids who help her to the venue where Ollie awaits. The group then walks along together as her guide dog, Miss Molly, stays by her side.

As harp music plays in the background, an on-screen text reads: "I'm blind and I blindfolded my sighted husband and guests when I walked down the aisle... This is their reaction when they lived a moment in my shoes."

The guide dog can be seen strolling down the aisle as the gorgeous bride follows behind, with her father also accompanying her down slowly. She then radiates with joy as she walks towards her groom while standing guests wait patiently with black blindfolds over their eyes.

When the couple finally meet at the altar, they embrace in a long hug before the groom breaks down in tears. After, the guests were given permission to remove their own masks, and were seen beaming in admiration at the beautiful moment in front of them.

However, Ollie keeps his on as Lucy explained in the overlay text: "Before Ollie took off his blindfold, we had a moment for him to feel my dress and understand why I chose it."

Lucy added in her caption that she feels blessed to "have a husband that accepts me for exactly who I am my disability and everything. The whole me".

The tear-jerking clip has received over 391K likes and 6.4 million views, with thousands of comments from awe-struck users.  One user person penned: "What a truly beautiful moment, something to treasure always. Thank you for sharing this with us."

Someone else wrote: "Absolutely stunning. You and your family. The dress is perfection," while a third commented: "This made me cry, what a great thing to do, you looked beautiful."

"The groom falling to his knees while seeing you as a bride, the way you see, is a fairytale moment," a fourth person added.

Lucy opened up about her memorable wedding in an interview with Insider, revealing that she lost her sight completely when she had been dating Ollie for two months at the age of 17.

"I never envisaged that I would walk down the aisle to Ollie as a blind person," the influencer told the publication, disclosing that she previously faced doubts about whether her condition would result in blindness or not.

The beautiful bride then shared that the reason for the blindfolds on her special day was to demonstrate why you "don’t need" eyesight to have a vision.

"You don’t need eyesight to have a lovely time, to experience the milestones in our lives. You know, I’m not going to have eyesight when I give birth to my children, but that’s okay and I’ve come to terms with that," she added.

Congratulations to Lucy and Ollie!
