Brides Across America, a nonprofit based in Massachusetts, has begun to donate wedding gowns to frontline healthcare workers who need a little support with their wedding plans, it's reported.
Per Good News Network, Brides Across America usually donates gowns to military couples and first responders, but in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, the nonprofit wanted to send a message of solidarity and appreciation for the frontline healthcare workers who are risking their lives to save others.

“We just wanted to do something to give back and at least say, ‘Hey, we’re thinking of you,’” Heidi Janson, founder of Brides Across America, told TODAY Style, “They’re putting their lives on the line, just like the military or a first responder, so this was our way to give back to them. We just thought it lined up nicely with our mission.”
And the feedback they have received on the initiative has been fantastic.
“The response has been great,” Janson said. “The girls are so happy. They’re like, ‘I’m working, I’m planning a wedding. I don’t really have time (to find a dress).’ They can’t believe it’s free.”

Brides Across America was founded in 2008, when Janson noticed that many people needed gowns amid a surge in military troops being sent into duty.
“We had a lot of deployments, and people needed dresses last minute,” Janson explained, "We felt the need to give back and do something.”
Each year since then Brides Across America has reportedly donated roughly 2,000 wedding dresses. Now, the nonprofit has mailed gowns out across America that are donated by boutiques, salons and designers.
“We’re pretty small, but we have a big mission.
“It’s definitely hard, but we’re trying our best to continue as much as we can with the current circumstances.”
