A bride's genius - and cheap - wedding hack meant she was able to pee worry-free on her big day.

A person's wedding day is supposed to be one of the most important days of their life. But when the big day rolls around, many brides quickly discover that years of planning can't save them from struggling to go to the bathroom in that perfect wedding dress.

Therefore, it is quite ironic that, after spending thousands on the perfect wedding day, such a big problem can be solved with such a cost-effective solution.

One British bride by the name of Tina shared her ingenious hack to the aptly named website IKEAHackers.net.

She wrote: "Well, I got married a few weeks ago (in a mermaid wedding dress) and I was really worried about going to the bathroom and not being able to... handle myself.

"Someone helping or watching me going to the bathroom on my wedding day? Not being able to have free hands to use the toilet paper? Or even worse if my period decides to show? NO WAY!"

Tina explained that products like the Bridal Buddy bathroom helper do exist for such problems, but they carry a hefty price tag "just because it is wedding related".

She then explained that her hack costs just 0.80 euros (around .88 US cents), and took just three minutes to create.

"What I like best is it’s almost free and allows me to make my life easier on my wedding day," Tina added, before detailing how it works.

And don't worry if you're not a keen crafter, because this really is very simple. All you have to do is cut a small hole in the bottom of the bag (making sure the hole isn't too big that is fails to catch your dress, but also not too small that you can't get it over your hips).

Once it's up and has picked up the skirt, you can just place the handles over your shoulders and the whole thing becomes hands-free! It certainly saves an army of bridesmaids coming to the bathroom with you every time you need a pee!

After being shared to Facebook, people were quick to start tagging their friends and sharing their thoughts on the hack.

"IKEA always making my life easier," one person wrote.

A second added: "I could've used one of these on my wedding day!"

One person even joked: "And it's your 'something blue' too."
