A woman has shared a truly baffling story that saw the police being called to her home after her roommate "borrowed" her vibrator without permission.

Now, anybody who has ever lived with roommates will attest that disagreements occur. When I lived with my friends at college, we would often argue over petty things like milk or plates... but I'd have probably drawn the line at sex toys.

However, that's exactly the situation one woman found herself in, as she took to TikTok to share what happened.

Max (@modmaxxx), from Miami, Florida, revealed that the horrifying ordeal even led to the cops being called to the house in order to take her roommate away.

In the video, which has since amassed more than 2.4 million views, Max explains that she had been staying at her parents' home for a couple of weeks before returning to the home she shares with her roommate.

The next day, she says: "I wake up and I go to my bedside drawer. I open my drawer and this is where my vibrator always is... suddenly it's not there."

After searching a few other places around her room, she eventually decides to search her roommate's room. "I go into her room, I go to her bedside drawer, I open it... my vibrator is there," Max says.

Baffled, Max says she tried to convince herself that the pair just happened to have the same brand and color of toy.

"Mine just must be misplaced," she told herself at the time. "I just don't believe that anybody could ever do anything like that."

However, as you're about to find out, somebody really could do something like that...

After consulting a few of her girlfriends about the situation, Max decided to take a photo of the toy in her roommate's draw and mark it with a small dot using an eyeliner pen. By doing this, Max said that there was no way her roommate could try and argue that there were two if it suddenly appeared back in her drawer.

In an effort to give her roommate a chance to return the toy, Max popped out of the house for 30-40 minutes and left her bedroom door wide open. When she returned home, she immediately went up to her room to check if the vibrator had returned.

Lo and behold, it was back.

"I go up to my room, close the door, I open the drawer, it is f***ing there and it has the dot," Max recalls.

In a follow-up video, Max said that she no longer felt safe in the house, saying: "I don’t feel safe anymore, like who am I living with? I just want to get out of there."

Encouraged by her parents to confront her roommate over texts, Max's roommate swiftly denied the accusations.

"Now, not only am I living with this weirdo who did that, but now she’s lying," Max said in the follow-up video.

After the roommate said that she had some friends over one night and maybe one of them moved the toy, Max ordered her roommate to pack a bag and move out.

However, things escalated when Max decided to google her roommate to try and find out who she'd been living with.

"I now find an entire page about her and her mom which is just, not good," Max said. Although she didn't go into details about what information she discovered, Max said that she swiftly informed her parents, who agreed to come and help her move out the next day.

In order to be safe, Max's parents also called the police to ask for an escort while they were moving their daughter's belongings out of the house. After informing the authorities of the situation, Max says that six officers arrived to help mediate the situation.

And despite telling her now-ex-roommate never to contact her, Max later received a message saying that she was trying to "frame" her roommate in a effort to break the lease and move out early.

As you can probably imagine, Max's story swiftly went viral on TikTok, and here are just some of the best replied she had:
