Amid the coronavirus pandemic, key household items are becoming harder and harder to get your hands on as some individuals stockpile in anticipation of lockdown or isolation.
Of course, this causes problems and comes in spite UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson saying that people should be sensible when buying food and groceries.
As such, some supermarkets are opting to adopt new measures to safeguard their ability to supply adequate food and groceries, as well as operating special hours for the elderly and vulnerable to shop.

Costco-themed Instagram accounts (not affiliated to the store itself) have noted that signs are appearing in stores advising customers that refunds will not be accepted on certain items, such as toilet paper, paper towels, sanitizing wipes, water, rice and Lysol.
The Instagram account Costco Insider posted an image of till displaying the message:
And followers seemed gratified by the move. One wrote, "Good.. because ALL those who thought the world was going to end stockpiling and not thinking of others will be stuck with 24 packs of 20 rolls of toilet paper. Just buy what your family would use...later they may try to sell".

Meanwhile, popular account Costco Buys shared a similar image of the message, captioning it "I‘m super glad Costco is doing this! Do you think this is a good idea?"
One commenter wrote underneath the post, "It's a great idea. Glad to see this. Maybe this will teach people not to be so greedy!!!"

It appears that Costco is the latest big chain to adopt new measures to cope with increased demand and uncertainty during the coronavirus pandemic.
