A dad has dressed up as Frozen's Elsa in a bid to encourage his son to not be afraid of expressing himself.

Per Buzzfeed, six-year-old Colin Stuart has been a fan of the Disney character since he was three.

He recently told his dad Scott, that he wanted to wear the snow queen's costume before the sequel came out.

Take a look at the heartwarming father-son video below:

However, as the date of the movie's release came ever closer, Colin began to get nervous about his earlier wish. It was then when dad Scott decided to don an Elsa wig and dress.

The proud dad later shared a video of himself and his boy in costume together to his personal TikTok account, which has since racked up over 10 million views, 4.8 million likes, and 145,000 shares, at the time of writing.

Indeed, a number of other TikTok users have since congratulated the dad on his positive parenting skills.

Finally, this commenter stated: "[You] are dad of the year in my book sir."

Commenting on his gesture in a later interview with Buzzfeed, Scott stated: "we can either teach our kids to run away from who they are and what they love — to try and please other people — or teach them to have the courage to be themselves."

He added: "I would hope people could look at this video and see a child having the courage to be themselves, and know that if they have the courage to do the same, there will be someone who will stand with them too."
