A father at a baseball game has gone viral after nearly dropping his baby to catch a foul ball, then catching the falling child while hardly spilling a drop of beer.

The man in question was watching the Diamondbacks play against the Giants over the weekend while holding the infant.

But at one point in the game, an errant ball shot in his direction - and he had absolutely no qualms about catching the ball despite already having his hands full with his child and beer.

The clip has been widely shared on social media, with a huge discussion taking place in response to the miraculous catch on Reddit.

The clip also made its way to Facebook. Check it out here:

Plenty of people have since shared their thoughts on the man's attempt to juggle his baby and his beer as he caught the foul ball.

One Reddit user wrote: "Absolutely epic. How were the people around him not going nuts!"

Another gushed: "Wtf! He deserves to be on the team with a catch like that."

A third wrote: "Best part is that he’s more proud of not spilling his beer than catching a ball barehanded or not dropping his daughter."

And the comments just kept flooding in, with one person sharing how they personally would have handled the foul ball.

They wrote: "I would have dropped that beer and covered my child with my body whilst getting out of the way of the ball so it could hit someone else."

A final person shared: "What I take from this is a proof [sic] of the athleticism of humble humans. This is not negligence. All these people pay to appreciate athleticism, but it is inherent in all of us.

"Have any of you ever thrown a baby in the air? Now before you stamp out a darkly cynical reply, think about what flying feels like, like in a dream, yeah."

Whatever you think, I believe we can all agree that this man is some kind of Super Dad.
