A dad has sparked a debate on social media after revealing that he'll let his son swear as soon as he's able to talk.
Connor Robertson revealed in a video that he believes his son should be allowed to swear from the get-go - and even predicts that his first world will be a cuss.
Watch the controversial TikTok below:Taking to TikTok, the father answered the following question posed by another user: "What's an unpopular opinion that you have about your parenting that might make a lot of parents mad?"
He said: "My kid will be allowed to swear. I do not care how old he is and I do not care if it upsets you or your children.
"He is more than likely going to grow up to be an adult who swears, so we might as well let him practice while he can."
"My wife and I actually have a bet on whether his first words are going to be 'F**k' or 'I love you' because those are the two most popular words in our household," he added.
Reacting to Robertson's knowingly controversial revelation, another TikTok user wrote: "My rule on curse words was time and place around others and they could not be used in anger towards someone else."

A second added: "Studies actually show that parents that curse in front of their children, the children grow up into more well adjusted adults [sic]."

While a third agreed, writing: "Me too. I teach my kids cuss words aren't bad, they are just words. Words can't be bad. But some people have a problem with it & we try to respect them."

However, one TikTok user did question what Robertson will do if his children got into trouble at school for swearing, and he explained that he will teach them when it is and isn't appropriate.

Meanwhile, one TikTok user simply joked: "His first words I f**king love you! [sic]"

Robertson also shared his other unpopular parenting opinions in the viral TikTok including his belief that genitalia should be called by their proper names and that toys shouldn't be gendered.
Some parents went on to agree with these, but not his rule on swearing.

A second agreed, writing: "first one is just bad. if you raise them well they won't even swear as adults [sic]."
