A Utah woman has given birth to her son and daughter-in-law's baby daughter. Nancy Hauck, 56, brought her own granddaughter into the world after offering to act as a surrogate for her son Jeff Hauck and his wife Cambria. In an interview with <a href="https://people.com/human-interest/utah-grandmother-gives-birth-son-daughter-in-law-baby-feeling-so-blessed/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">People</a>, the family opened up about their unconventional arrangement. Jeff and Cambria - who were raised in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - explained that they had always wanted a big family. "We always had in our mind that we wanted four to six — whatever the Lord would bless us with, is what we would always say," Cambria told the outlet. It took them four years and a round of IVF to conceive their first set of twins, Vera Ayva, now four. "We wanted to give them all a chance at life," she said, adding: "We both decided that we would just move forward in faith." When Nancy volunteered as a surrogate, the couple initially thought it wouldn't be possible due to her age. However, after consulting with fertility expert Dr. Russell Foulk, the family decided to go ahead with the embryo transfer.
