Polites was recently shamed by a vocal minority of followers after she posted a pic alongside her husband and daughter Evaliah while pregnant, because they believed the picture to be staged. After being shamed for looking too glamorous, Polites posted a side-by-side comparison of her derriere, before and after giving birth to her son Arlo, along with a message to her haters.

She captioned the picture: "Not your typical transformation pic ? This is me on the left at 8 weeks postpartum, not posing and no makeup on for what was going to be a 'before shot.' This is also me on the right posing and 'photo-ready' post-Evaliah ✨ I’m not perfect in either photo because perfection does not exist but it’s taken me a while to realise this. [sic]"

She continued: "I obviously still want to look and feel my best but I’ll no longer get ready just for a photo if I’m not going out, put cartoon filters on my face or hide my body because I’m not 'done up' or where I want to be yet ...  I also looked back at so many of my IG stories with Evaliah and we had cartoon filters hiding our faces and I felt sad I couldn’t see what we really looked like. [sic]"

She added: "I’m a proud mama in sweatpants and equally proud when I’m glam and don’t smell like vomit. I'll never be perfect or flawless and this doesn’t define my worth, I’m perfectly 'imperfect' and unapologetically me. We all have good days, bad days, great angles and I’m happy and content with who I am today. [sic]"
