A man who was cut in half by a forklift truck but miraculously survived has praised the "superhuman" act that his wife performed for him.
Loren Schauers was only 18 years old when he was the victim of a horrific accident that tore his lower half away, but these days he lives a happy life with his wife.
Loren Schauers was just a teenager when tragedy struck
Loren has had to completely change his life since the accident, which saw his lower half completely torn away by a forklift truck.
The ex-laborer has been sharing his story on Instagram to explain what his life is like now.

A huge part of the life he has made is thanks to his wife Sabia, who he clearly loves dearly and who has helped him overcome the serious challenges he has faced since the accident.
Sharing a post on Instagram on November 13, he even said that she had to help him to set up his computer as he was having technical difficulties.
In the post, Sabia could be seen messing around with the computer cables from the PC that he had built.
Loren wrote: "Watching my wife finish fixing my computer! I'm so thankful, thank you so much my love.”
He backed that up with a number of clearly affectionate emojis.
This act was "superhuman" according to Loren
In the caption of the post, he thanked his partner for the "superhuman" efforts to fix his beloved computer.
He added: “Just sitting here doing the final stress tests on my computer that my wife superhumanly fixed herself!"
There are other members of the family, too.
In another picture, Loren shared some photos of the cats that they also own, writing: “While watching, I caught these two hallway lurkers creepily staring.”

The day Loren’s life changed
In September 2019, Loren was working a construction job when a forklift went badly off course and fell 50 feet, landing on top of him.
Remarkably - and with no small amount of courage - he survived being crushed beneath the four-ton vehicle, although the bottom half of his body was removed.
Since that day, he has made the most of his life, marrying Sabia, who has stuck with him the whole time, even through the difficult recovery process.
Discussing that accident, he once said: "It wasn't a hard choice to have half of my body amputated - it was basically a choice of living or dying.
“With Sabia assuring to stay by my side no matter what and all my immediate family being around me, it really wasn’t a hard choice for me!"
Let’s hope the pair have more happy years together yet.
