There's a new trend in town and people are being left quite weirded out by it...
It seems like every day we get a new trend and it can be really difficult to keep up with the younger generation.
I sounded about 80 as I wrote that.
But with social media things can spread across the globe quite quickly, and this new trend has done exactly that.
Although it's pretty weird.

For those unfamiliar with the viral morning shed videos on TikTok, here's a breakdown of what it entails.
The concept of the morning shed varies widely from person to person, but the core idea is simple: "Go to bed ugly" so you can "wake up pretty," as detailed by Nicolles Looks on TikTok.
This involves prepping the night before to ensure a more polished appearance come morning.
Some popular methods include using heatless curl rollers to achieve a Hollywood-style blowout by 7:00AM, applying serums to "slug" the face for a glowing complexion, or contouring with self-tanner to cut down on morning makeup time.
However, some are taking the trend to more extreme levels.
Techniques range from taping mouths shut overnight - apparently to enhance jawlines, although this lacks scientific backing—to wearing jaw straps to prevent teeth clenching, and even using silicone patches on the forehead to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and scars.
Common items featured in these videos also include waist trainers, eye patches, lip masks, and even eye tape.
People have offered their thoughts on the matter on social media, with one person offering an alternative: "Drink water, eat some fruits and veggies, wear sunscreen, and get a good night’s sleep. That’s it. Simple."
A second person said: "Does it really matter how age and years affect you, grow old gracefully and accept it as part of life."
A third offered further insight: "This is hardly new; my ma went to bed with rollers in her hair in the 90s. That generation just didn’t have a word for it."

A fourth person gave their support: "This is me I just didn’t need a word for it. Sleep headphones, mouth tape, nasal strip, body pillow and melatonin patch. Ok it’s not for beauty, this girl just wants to sleep through the night!"
Others voiced concerns claiming that going to sleep wearing all this gear isn't "safe".
Do you think morning shed will catch on?
For what it's worth, when I first heard of the trend I immediately thought it would be like a snake shedding skin so... I'm glad that it isn't.
