A popular plus-size influencer has sparked a debate after sharing a video of herself needing two chairs at a restaurant.
Puerto Rican model and influencer Gracie Bon is well-known for promoting body positivity.
The 27-year-old has now shared a video on Instagram in which she uses two chairs to accommodate her curvy figure.
In the video, a restaurant owner is seen dragging out two chairs to help Gracie sit comfortably.
Wearing a skin-tight purple bodysuit that emphasized her curves, Gracie struck a pose for the cameras after taking her seat, highlighting her recently slimmed-down figure.
The restaurant owner, casually dressed in a camel coat, shared a laugh with Gracie and held out his hands in celebration.
Gracie captioned the post: “Two seats please,” as she posed for several cameras.
As is often the case with Gracie's posts, fans offered different opinions in the comments.
"That’s not cute and elegant that she has to use 2 chairs," one person said, as a second added: "I’m sorry but the doctor who did this should have his/her license revoked indefinitely! The oath of a medical professional such as a surgeon is to DO NO HARM!!"
Gracie has firmly denied undergoing any plastic surgery, insisting her body is natural, per the Daily Star.
One fan commented on the post: "Okay guys let me set the record straight this is actually NOT plastic surgery or anything like that it's an actual disorder where body parts can increase their sizes."
While Gracie is a well-known advocate for plus-size modeling, she has frequently faced skepticism from fans who question whether her body is natural.
In August, she gained 200,000 followers following rumors of cosmetic procedures.
However, Gracie reiterated that her figure is "what God gave her," but admitted her size makes it difficult to find clothes that fit.
In another case of Gracie splitting opinion, she recently claimed that she was body-shamed in Disneyland.
In a video shared with her 6.4 million followers, Gracie detailed the experience, saying she felt singled out for her appearance.
"I was body-shamed during my trip to Disneyland - people wouldn't stop staring at my curvy body, but it's what makes me unique," she wrote. "It’s time to stop body-shaming. We’re all different shapes and sizes, and that’s what makes us unique."
The video, which shows Gracie drawing unwanted attention from other parkgoers, was accompanied by a caption expressing her frustration over the behavior she endured.
"I was at Disneyland today, I wanted to have fun with my siblings, but our day was ruined by all the people making fun of the size of my body. The worst part is that they teach their kids to do the same," Gracie wrote.
She continued to describe the actions of some park visitors, saying: "They kept taking photos of me, they gave me bad looks all the time, or just kept laughing at me."
Addressing potential critics, Gracie acknowledged that some might think she’s overreacting or that her size is to blame, but she rejected those arguments.
"I know you may think that I am exaggerating and that it's my fault for being a big girl, but this is literally what God gave me, and I have to embrace every single part of me," she said.
"Even if you have a condition or you look different, you shouldn't be bullied for the way you look."
Gracie concluded her post with a plea for respect and tolerance: "I would never talk negatively about someone else's appearance. Respect is key. This should be a safe space where everyone feels comfortable, and I wasn't doing anything, just existing.
"At the end of the day, I just wanted to have fun like everyone else. If you don't like something, stop hating and keep it to yourself."
