A plus-size woman has spoken out after she was ruthlessly mocked for filming videos of herself at the gym.

Bethy Red took to her TikTok account on Thursday, August 12, to open up about how she was bullied by a woman who confronted her over recording her workouts.

According to Red, this woman said: "Girl, what are you doing? Are you taking videos of yourself?"

Take a look at Bethy Red's original video here:

In the video above, Red testified that was recording herself for fun. Her critic then added: "You are? Well, why? For your own documentation or what?"

When Red replied to her that the videos were for her blog, the woman apparently laughed in her face and said: "Good luck."

Red edited the footage of her encounter with the woman - covering her with a white square so that her appearance could be kept secret.

Yet a number of other TikTok users were clearly outraged by this woman's attitude, taking to the comments section to share their support for Red.

For instance, one person wrote: "Please take the big white square off. EXPOSE HER. This behavior is atrocious and we CANT protect people like her."

A second stated: "She goes to the gym because she hates herself. You go because you love yourself. That's the only difference that matters."

A third then said: "I honestly haven't seen a person THAT insecure about themselves since I was in middle school. That's sad... [sic]"

Meanwhile, another added: "I'm so sorry this absolutely breaks my heart. Why do people have to be so mean?"

Finally, another wrote: "Every day this app reminds me I have anger issues. Idk how you calmly answered. I would have been [all] over her. [sic]"

In a follow-up post, Red stated that although she was thankful for all the support she had received, she didn't want anyone to send any abusive messages to the woman in the video, and was concerned that some of her more zealous defenders had misidentified her bully.

Red stated: "I got a direct message from Claudia and Alison that they're getting death threats and hate messages. First of all, those are not the girls. Second off, I didn't reveal her to make justice for myself.

"I did it because I didn't know TikTok was this intense, and when people said 'pull up' and 'beat her up,' I thought people were joking."
