A strongman has taken to social media to update his followers of his recovery after suffering an excruciating injury.
On September 1, Dan Jones was taking part in the a Strongman competition final in Southport, UK.
However, while attempting to carry 80kg (176 lbs) for 20 meters (65 feet), he collapsed to the ground - with the moment captured in hard-to-watch footage.
Sharing the video with his 2,800 followers on TikTok, Jones wrote: "Southport Strongest ended in 2 ruptured patella tendons and a lengthy stay in the hospital. [I've] now been in for 13 days and will be in here until its safe for me to go home."
You can watch the moment below - but WARNING: It is not for the squeamish.
The video has since amassed more than 790,000 views as of this writing, with thousands of social media users wishing Dan a speedy recovery.
"OUCH. that's made my legs feel funny watching that... I hope you have a speedy recovery", one person commented.
A second added: "Ouch ouch ouch. Good luck for a speedy recovery."
And another well-wisher commented: "Be proud of what [you] achieved. But just be careful in the future. You've got this."
What's potentially more painful (not physically, of course), is the fact that Jones had been having "a good day" in the competition up until his injury - as videos from the event showed him pulling a truck and deadlifting a car.
In video updates on his TikTok page, Jones has revealed that, since his surgery, he is once again able to walk with the help of knee braces and a walking frame and had achieved "30 degrees of knee flexion".
Although, he admits there's "still a long way to go".
The disappointing set-back also comes after Jones finished first in the Manchester Strongman competition back in July.
We wish Jones the very best on his continued recovery! We hope to see him lifting cars again in the near future.
If he wasn't already inspiring social media users with his brute strength, his recovery journey will certainly leave tears in the eyes of viewers.
