Eminem's 19-year-old child has come out as non-binary this week in a new social media post made to their fans.
According to The Independent, Stevie Laine, who the 48-year-old rapper adopted back in 2005 after reconciling with their mother Kim Scot, made the announcement in a post on their TikTok account.
In it, they asked their followers to address them by the name Stevie, in lieu of their given name Whitney, and made it clear that they would be using they/them pronouns from now on.
Take a look at Stevie's coming out video right here:The video itself was captioned: "Watch me become more comfortable with myself," and the footage shows pictures of Stevie throughout the years captioned with she/her pronouns.
However, at the 19-second mark, the pronouns change to her/they before more photos are displayed, revealing that they now accept all pronouns as they are non-binary.
A number of Stevie's fans have since taken to the comments of their post to congratulate them on coming out and celebrate the reveal.
For example, one person wrote: "A genuine beauty at every stage. Inside & out [...] You inspire me a ton, you make me laugh, and ur so creative. You bring so much to this world. [sic]"
Another commenter wrote: "I'm glad you feel comfortable about yourself. It definitely takes time to love yourself for who you are & I'm happy you found that love & comfort. [sic]"
Then this person wrote: "So proud of you Stevie. [...] MUCH LOVE AND you mean the world to lots. [sic]"
This commenter agreed, writing: "it takes so much courage to do that. ur an amazing person. [sic]"
And then this fan added: "We support you and we are so proud of you! You are wonderful Stevie!! [sic]"
Finally, this person commented: "Stevie you are so pretty! I am very happy that you are feeling comfortable with yourself even if I don't know you personally."
This comes not long after the rapper's other child, 25-year-old Hailie Mathers, posted a rare picture of herself and her boyfriend on Instagram.
